Oven Roasted Salmon with Avocado, Tangelo & Quinoa Salad
Indian Stuffed Peppers with Curry Beef & Garam Masala Scented Rice
Goat Cheese Stuffed Chicken Roulades
This is a review of the 4th box we have received from Hello Fresh, a food subscription box for $69 a week. Out of the three dishes we tried this week the Roasted Salmon was our favorite. Second place went to the Indian Stuffed Peppers and third place goes to the Goat Cheese Stuffed Chicken.
Oven Roasted Salmon with Avocado, Tangelo & Quinoa Salad
This was an excellent and easy to cook dish which I made all by myself! Wow, was it delicious! The avocado and the tangelo were perfectly ripe. This was the first time I cooked quinoa and it was really easy to make and tasty. The arugula salad was also very tasty. I was skeptical at first since the ingredients for the vinaigrette are only tangelo zest, white wine vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper. The scallions, tangelo pieces and avocado went well with the arugula. I was happy this recipe suggested baking the salmon rather than pan cooking it since I find that much easier. We loved this dish! It reminded me of two Blue Apron dishes: Roasted Salmon, Fennel & Castelvetrano Olives with Cara Cara Orange, Farro & Salsa Verde and Dukkah Spiced Salmon.
Indian Stuffed Peppers with Curry Beef & Garam Masala Scented Rice
This is the dish I was looking forward to the most since I love curry. It was good, but I think I would have preferred it without the garam masala spice, since it was so spicy that was all I could taste. I like curry all by itself since to me it's perfection. I use it all the time and it's especially good in chicken salad. I found it strange that the peppers were baked by themselves without the filling. I think it would have been better slowly baked with the ingredients inside the peppers and with green peppers rather than yellow. This was a very generous portion and we could have easily saved enough for one lunch to be eaten the next day but we didn't. After having several Blue Apron meals prior that were smaller than we would like, we were very happy to see Hello Fresh had given us a nice large portion and we were happy to eat it all in one sitting!
Goat Cheese Stuffed Chicken Roulades
This dish was just ok for me and Hubby didn't like it at all and as a result left lots of couscous on his plate. Normally I love goat cheese but this brand was sour. Though it did keep the chicken moist while it was baked so it was really tender and perfectly cooked. I prefer regular kale over the Tuscan Kale that was included. I guess we don't care for couscous and so we shall skip recipes that include it in the future.
Overall this was a good box since we loved the salmon recipe, liked the Indian dish and the chicken one was ok. We are skipping this week's dishes since I didn't like the recipes and received a box from Home Chef today instead. But the following week we will purchase another Hello Fresh box which will include Coconut Shrimp Satay, Creamy Pea & Asparagus Risotto and Argentine Spiced Steak. They all look really appetizing.

I also reviewed Blue Apron & Plated which are similar food subscription boxes. So check those out before you leave and don't forget to claim your Free Graze Box and enter my Blue Apron Giveaway:
