Twenty-Four Hour Beekman Marathon Starts at 3 PM on December 4th

I had so much fun watching it last year, I thought this year I'd have an online get together. 

Each year the Beekman Boys host a twenty-four-hour marathon on Facebook live from Sharon Springs, NY. Last year they started with a tour of their Beekman 1802 Mercantile Store, had some cooking demonstrations, product demos and chatted with some customers. They also had storytime reading one of their books, music, singing and artisan interviews. It was wonderful to learn about each artisan. They then took us on a short drive to the Beekman farm. They gave us a tour of the farm and visited with the goats and Farmer John. They taught us a lot about caring for, milking, and breeding goats. It was very interesting, I learned a lot. They also gave us a tour of their shipping warehouse. Their packaging is top-notch, you will be impressed. They were advised by an ex-USPS employee on the best packaging practices. They also add a large Beekman sticker to your box. Where do you plan to stick yours? Beekman offers many baked goods, jams, honey, balsamic drizzle, goat cheese and handmade goods that you won't find on QVC or HSN. This is the perfect time to shop since they have several special offers and last year they offered free shipping. Everything is guaranteed to be on your doorstep before Christmas. My order arrived promptly. Their Happy Place cleaning products are now exclusive to HSN, so you won't find them for sale on their website anymore. 

If you're not aware of who the Beekman Boys are here's a short summary. Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge were working in New York City when the recession hit and they lost their jobs. They had previously bought a farm in Sharon Springs, NY and a neighbor needed farmland for his goats so they helped each other out. Brent's ex-employer, Martha Stewart encouraged them to start selling goat milk soap and goat cheese and their business grew. Their business founded in 2008 called Beekman 1802 is named after their farmhouse which was built by Mr. Beekman in 1802. In 2010 they were on a reality TV show called The Fabulous Beekman Boys which showed their life struggles from moving to their goat farm, learning about farming, and running a business. They couldn't afford to both live on the farm in the beginning. Josh was working in NYC weekdays and living on the farm on the weekends. Brent was running their new business full time at the farm. In 2012 they went on the Amazing Race and won. After being together 14 years they married in 2013. They started selling their products on the TV shopping channel Evine, then in 2018, they moved to HSN and QVC. When they aren't at the QVC Studio in Pennsylvania or the HSN Studio in Florida selling their products on tv, they spend their time on the Beekman farm with their dog Önder. They now employ 180 people. They insist on making everything in the US and only making healthy products without parabens and other unhealthy ingredients. They are one of the most successful lifestyle brands in the US. While they are very busy, they find time to spread kindness and gratitude on their facebook page daily which I appreciate.
