Healthy Carrot Dog Cookie Recipe
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups oat flour
2 cups quaker oats
2 cups carrots (cooked)
1/4 cup parsley (dried)
1 egg
3 tbsp chicken broth (low sodium)
1 tbsp molasses
1 apple sauce cup (4 oz unsweetened)
Directions:
Cook two cups of carrots either by boiling or steaming until they are very soft. Mash the carrots with a fork one by one. Wait for them to cool.
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Place all ingredients in a medium to large bowl:
Mix together with a spatula, then with a fork. Place in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes to chill. Get your bone shaped Wilton cookie pan out:
I purchased mine during the Halloween season at Target, but you can find it on Amazon.com anytime of year. Using a spatula, fill the bone spaces on the pan with the cookie dough. Place in the oven for 35 minutes. Remove from oven to cool. Give out samples to your dogs and store the rest in an airtight container. They can be broken in half for smaller dogs.
