Hubby chose to see this movie for part of his birthday celebration. He would have preferred Star Wars, but that doesn't come out until later this month. We really enjoyed this movie! I wasn't bored at any point and I was a bit worried since it's two hours and thirty-two minutes long. Choose a theatre with comfortable seats! It's about building a race car for Ford that can beat Ferrari in several races the final one being the 24-hours of Le Mans Race in France. It's based on a true story set in 1966. Take a look at the first trailer:

I loved the racing scenes, one flying scene and the relationship between Carroll and Ken. Ford's corporate employees were in true form and very easy to hate. I loved it when Carroll got revenge on them, one revenge scene was especially funny. My favorite scene was when Carroll took Henry on a drive. It made me laugh so hard! It was very well done and the actor did an amazing job showing extreme fear. An abbreviated version of that scene is shown in the trailer below and yet it still draws a laugh:

You've got to see the entire scene to truly appreciate it. I plan to rewind and watch it over and over again when it comes out on demand. Ford v Ferrari had laughs sprinkled throughout which was wonderful. You will need a tissue though since there are two sad scenes. There are also scenes that will make you want to jump up and cheer.

The acting done by Christian Bale was fabulous, he'll probably get a nomination. He really dove into the character so much so you may not even recognize him in some scenes. Perhaps his best acting ever and I wasn't a big fan prior to seeing this movie. Matt Damon did his usual acting, too close to his own personality, but he was enjoyable to watch especially in the revenge and funny scenes. The fight between Ken and Carroll was hilarious. Jon Bernthal did a great job making you hate him with a passion. I'm not familiar with the actors who played Ken's wife and son, but they were enjoyable to watch also and a good fit.

I highly recommend you go see this movie in the theatre if you have the need for speed, love racing, love speeding, love winning, and love revenge. It is definitely theatre worthy due to so many racing scenes. The camera work during those scenes made you feel like you're inside the car or on the track. I plan to rent this movie as soon as it comes out and may even considering buying it since there are several scenes I want to watch repetitively. My favorite scene is a guaranteed laugh. It's a fun, exciting, thrilling, and memorable movie! Put this one on your must-see list or drop everything and go see it now! What's the fastest you've driven? My answer, 120 mph, what a thrill.

Have a PEACEful Day!
