Dippin Chicken & Waffle
If you live near Atlanta, Georgia drive to the nearest Zaxby's and pick up a Chicken & Waffles Sandwich or a Dippin Chicken & Waffle. They are currently using the Atlanta area as a test market. 35 stores in the area are offering them for a limited time. You can check online to see if your nearest Zaxby's is offering them. Go to their website, click on the menu and then specials and change the location at the top if necessary. If they are offering them, it will be listed under specials. If the test goes well they may bring them to more locations, fingers crossed!
The Chicken & Waffles Sandwich Meal shown below costs $7.49 and for the sandwich only it costs $5.49. It is described as "what do you get when you put our signature hand-breaded fillet on a toasted, buttery brioche waffle, top it with crispy bacon, and drizzle it with sweet maple butter sauce? Sweet and savory satisfaction and maybe a Southern drawl". The Dippin Chicken & Waffle shown above is described as "three of our hand-breaded Chicken Fingerz with a toasted, buttery brioche waffle to put a little more y'all in that yum. Tongue Torch sauce and a sweet maple sauce are included to encourage double-dipping". It also costs $7.49 and the smaller snack size costs $5.49. It comes with Maple Butter Sauce and Syrup, extras are 25 cents more. They are also offering Two Waffles with Sauce for $2.49.
Chicken & Waffles Sandwich Meal
Zaxby's recently announced that several items will be leaving the menu soon. They include the Chicken Salad Sandwich, Buffalo Dip, Onion Rings, Honey French Dressing, and Zestable Dip. They will be replacing them with new items. Besides Chicken & Waffles, they are also considering adding Spicy Zax Sauce, Fried Okra, Frozen Sweet Tea, Buffalo Shrimp, Lemon Pepper Seasoning, Kickin Chicken Zalad, and Macaroni and Cheese. I would love it if they sold shrimp, but I'm sad they won't have the Chicken Salad Sandwich since they have so few items that aren't fried. I'm really picky about Macaroni and Cheese, but recently Chick-fil-A added it to their menu and I was shocked I actually enjoyed its flavor. Hubby agreed it's tasty. Zaxby's current special that is available at all locations for a limited time is their Caribbean Jerk Boneless Wings Meal and their Caribbean Jerk Fillet Sandwich. The sauce is described as "a sweet glaze bursting with fruity mango, spicy habanero, and jerk seasonings".
So would you order Chicken & Waffles at Zaxby's if it was available near you? I would definitely try it. They certainly look tasty! If you've tried it, comment below your opinion! I tried Biscuitville's version and I was greatly disappointed. What're your favorites at Zaxby's? I enjoy the Chicken Fingerz Meal with double cole slaw, no fries. I love their coleslaw after I add freshly ground pepper and celery seeds to it and stir. I'm not a fan of their fries, but my dogs love them. Sometimes I order their salads, but I prefer Chick-fil-A's. I had high hopes for their Chicken Fillet Sandwich but the portion of chicken is so small compared to Chick-fil-A's.
