QVC July 2019 TSV List
Which TSVs have you bought in the last 30 days and which brands are you hoping to see on the TSV list soon? Note that some brands will be showing up on both QVC & HSN, be sure to check both lists so that you don't miss out. Some brands will have a TSV on both channels within two months of each other!
Some disappointing QVC news, Jill Bauer who has been hosting for 25 years will be leaving QVC mid-June. She claims she wants to spend more time with her teenage son and her daughter on her days off from college. We've heard a similar statement from previous longtime hosts who have left. Note that employees sign a confidentiality agreement so who knows what the truth is and we are sure to hear many rumors in the coming months. She has stated that she will start a new facebook page so that is a hint she has plans to keep in contact with her fans which in the past has meant they won't be just sitting at home with family but in fact working on their next career. It's only a matter of time until we learn what her real plans are. Check out her goodbye video and judge for yourself. Unfortunately for long-time QVC viewers like myself, it looks like we will continue to see more of our favorite hosts leave to be replaced with younger hosts who of late seem to irritate most of us based on the feedback I've heard. A lot of customers are hitting the mute button or simply shopping elsewhere. I for one don't watch as much since hitting the mute button defeats the purpose of having it on in the background while doing housework and such. It's not a secret that QVC is targeting a new younger customer base. Though if they want to do that I would think they would have to drop the old clothing lines such as Bob Mackie, Susan Graver, and Denim & Co. A lot of their current brands will need to be cut and new brands brought in if they want to succeed at changing their customer base. Evine, on the other hand, is bringing in Jane Fonda as a lifestyle brand on their channel including fitness and nutrition. How do you feel about the recent changes at HSN & QVC? I'm sure we will see more changes in the coming months.

Oh wow, I had no idea Jill was leaving...I will miss her, but it sounds like she has some irons in the fire for herself. As for some of the new hosts that have been popping up as late, there are only a few that I even care to watch as most of them are annoying. I started watching QVC 7 years ago and in that time frame I have seen at least 4 people leave, make it 5 if you include Jill. So sad :-(

Wonder if there are "buyout packages" to incentivize the older tenured hosts to retire? That's not uncommon after mergers when the new combined company is trying to cut costs.

It's amazing how many people say the new hosts are annoying, wonder if Q is listening. Jill is one of my favs, I can listen to her voice for hours and I enjoyed her shows "You're Home with Jill" & "Holidays with Jill". Too many companies think out with the old in with the new, so sad. I'm watching Q less often as a result.

I saw that Jill was leaving, I too love her YHJ and her holiday shows, I love watching her and Valerie Par Hill together, they give so many creative decorating tips. I will be sad to watch her go. Especially since as you mentioned, I can't really stand the new hosts. I did notice that Dan Wheeler who left I believe last July is on Gourmet Holiday from time to time as a rep to one of the food brands they carry. It will be interesting if Jill comes back in the guest capacity in home decor. I could definitely see her having her own line there and it doing very well.
I can't wear Tide II, the sole is too hard. Is Tide similar? I find Cassie & Bella comfortable along with the wedge.
They tend to start a blog, see how many followers they can get and then start selling something on their own. I think they have a non compete clause in their contract, so usually they don't start for a several years. Yeah, I saw Dan, I was surprised how nervous he was. He has a book out and a inspiration video chat on FB. I think they are allowed to sell a product Q already sells, but not their own products till years pass. My guess is it would be easier for her to sell her line on her own via FB and a website like Lisa R. does rather than trying to get on the Q or HSN, etc. It's very difficult to get on the Q. Usually have to have a shark reps help or proven sales.
I'm sure all the experienced hosts have NC clauses for at least 1-2 yrs. One of the newer hosts Cathy P is already gone (and not by choice by the sound of it). I thought Dan W left to spend more time w/faith after his wife passed away?
Then how do the "Real Housewives" get on shopping channels? Examples: Rinna and Shannon B on QVC, Dr. Dubrow and LVP on Evine.
I agree that BM has gone downhill since Leslie B sold to Shesheido and left after a specified transition period. I haven't been buying much BE since they started focusing on alternative foundation products vs. original minerals.
Yes they are the same sole (Tide II and Tide). That's too bad you can't wear that style, I know I've read many reviews where people complain that the sole is too hard and it's unfortunate. Also thank you for posting that update from QVC regarding the shipping delays. I ordered a couple of items (clothing and beauty) and both still haven't arrived. UPS and USPS sure like taking their time with delivery. I noticed too whenever they have free shipping on items it takes even longer to ship, it's becoming pretty frustrating and disheartening.

I agree with those who said some of the new hosts are annoying. I tend to watch late at night on the west coast so I see them quite often. There are only one or two who are tolerable. Can’t remember their names though.

Hi Terri! So far there are 3 Christmas in July TSVs, July 12-14th, I'll have another update in a week. Check out the July list just posted. Last year they had very little Christmas in July, it was disappointing, looks like this year will be the same. I enjoy those shows also, summer is my least favorite season, so I find those shows uplifting. Try L-tyrosine for depression, takes 2 weeks to work, take daily. She's back on June 9th for 2 shows, maybe then. You could make some of your own using an empty glass jar, add sugar, essential oils of your choice and argan oil.
Me too, Stephanie! Jodi, they recommend the Indigo Cream for redness. None of the Tatcha TSV products I've tried so far help redness. The creams that work are very expensive and once you stop using them the redness returns. I've heard it can be caused by an internal issue such as a leaky gut, hereditary or alcohol. I'd love to try the primer too. Fingers crossed the eye cream is included and in a larger size than the last TSV and no cleansing powder, too drying. I can't remember if they had an OTO last year, does anyone remember?

Yeah, they have a ton of orders on free shipping days and I imagine they don't hire extra staff or allow overtime to handle those orders. They are so quick to lay off people when they aren't kept busy. I wish they would give us advance notice of free shipping days, sometimes I miss out on them because I don't have time to shop.
Lynn, Dan wrote a book called Hurricane of Love and is co-host of Fearless Faith on Facebook which features Morning Cup of Inspiration videos about 3 minutes long every morning. He's also been spotted a couple of times as a sales rep for Stuffin Gourmet on Q. Real Housewives have more followers than QVC hosts by far. It's all about social media and how many followers they have. Monique, then you've seen some bloopers too. It's fun to watch new hosts late at night.
Oh wow, now that you all mention it, that's true about Cathy P, she must have gotten the brush off. I noticed all the other hosts that started when she did were appearing in the 6 and 7 am hour, as well as social media hosts in primetime and she was never on, so I'm guessing people didn't like her much. I thought her voice was not soothing at all, so I'm happy about that.
My best friend broke her ankle last year and after she got her cast and boot off, I convinced her to try some Vionic sneakers that were a TSV a while back. She loves them! She said she’d definitely buy another pair when these wear out. Speaking of, she said she’s really hard on shoes and the Vionic are holding up REALLY well. Just figured I’d give her testimonial since you inquired about their sneakers. :)
I’m pretty sure the Tatcha products have fragrance and that isn’t good for redness at all. I also have a good deal of redness (natural redhead problems) and I swear by Paula’s Choice for skincare. It’s all fragrance free and my skin has never looked better.
The only thing I’ve tried from Tatcha is the silk canvas primer and I just wasn’t impressed. I’m returning it to Sephora.

The Indigo Cream will for sure help with redness. I have not personally used it but I do know that it is fragrance free while the others are not. Though they are non synthetic fragrances.

I am a night owl so I have seen all the new hosts. I feel bad if they let Cathy P. go. We are all born and raised in different parts of the country. She can’t necessarily help her voice. She was always very pleasant and she was very well prepared and new her products.
I watched Jill from the very beginning. I have always liked Jill. I enjoyed her Christmas decorating shows. I wasn’t a big fan of the soap rocks she loved so much. It seemed over the past few years she just worked less and less. I’m not sure Qvc was an employer where if you were an on air personality you could work part time. From some of the blogs I’ve read around the internet, not on qvc, her husband makes a whole lot of money and she doesn’t need to work. I read she wears a lot of the designer St. John (who cares) and John Hardy and David Yurman (again who cares). And arrarently they live in a very large home on a golf course. And I say good for them and good for her. If she doesn’t need to work, more power to her! I think that’s great and some of these blogs out there (not here) are so nasty. She specifically said I have been here 25 years and I am retiring. So we will all miss her but good for her!
I broke down and bought the BD TSV in black. I absolutely love my thick, Cozychic cardio I bought from Nordstrom in January, so I figured it would be a good investment for a thinner fabric one. I live in black cardigans, so why not invest in one that’s super cozy and high quality. Hoping I like the tie in the back - that was the only thing I was on fence about with this style.
