Amazon Snack Sample Box - May 2016

Amazon's Snack Foods Sample Box

If you haven't heard about Amazon's Sample Box offers for May, you really should check them out. On the 16th they offered the following sample boxes: Snack Foods, Snack Bar, Suds, Men's Grooming, Women's Skin & Oral Care, Sports Nutrition, Women's Makeup & Hair Care, Cookie, Energy Drink, Protein Bar and Amoretti Syrup. They range in price from $4.99 to $19.99 and the money spent is added to your account seven days after the box is shipped. You can use the store credit on the items that were sampled in the box, so the samples land up being free! After seven days, the credit will show up at checkout after you place one of those items in your cart. They will email you when the credit is available to use. Included in the $4.99 Snack Food Sample Box were the following products:
  1. Angie's Boomchickapop Sweet & Salty Kettle Corn, 1 oz, 140 Calories
  2. G.H. Cretor's Popcorn Chicago Mix, 1.5 oz, 210 Calories
  3. Stacy's Pita Chips in Cinnamon Sugar, 1.5 oz, 200 Calories
  4. Annie's Organic Cheddar Bunnies, 1 oz, 140 Calories
  5. Van's Simply Delicious, Say Cheese! Crackers, 1 oz, 140 Calories
  6. Snyder's of Hanover Pretzel Sticks, .92 oz, 100 Calories
I have sampled both Angie's Boomchickapop and G.H. Creator's Popcorn Chicago Mix at Costco. I really like the taste of both of them, but Kettle Corn is too sugary for my diet. So a sample bag is the perfect little treat. I have purchased the other version of Angie's Boomchickapop which is sea salt popcorn and it was really tasty. I love Stacy's Pita Chips with hummus and we have purchased them many times over the years, but I had not tried the Cinnamon Sugar type before. Again, I avoid sugar, so that's not something I would purchase. My favorite Stacy's product is their Pretzel Bread Chips that were available at Costco many years back. Annie's Cheddar Bunnies are pretty good, but on the sour side. I prefer the Back to Nature or Late July brands available at Vitacost. Van's Simply Delicious Crackers were very tasty but tasted a bit earthy. Again, I prefer the Back to Nature or Late July brand. Those brands are healthy but don't taste that way. If you haven't tried the Late July or Back to Nature organic brands you must give them a try. They have a very large selection at Vitacost.com and some of the them are available at Whole Foods. Snyder's of Hanover Pretzel Sticks are ok, but I prefer Rold Gold which are more salty and have a butter flavor. Also, a healthier version is Snack Factory Pretzel Crisps which can be found and sometimes sampled at Costco and are available at Vitacost. This was a fun snack box, I recommend it if you are a snacker. I plan to use my $4.99 credit on Angie's Sea Salt Popcorn. Stay tuned for a review of the Snack Bar, Suds and Men's Grooming boxes. Most of the sample boxes are sold out, but a couple of them have come back in stock, so you may want to check back. Also, I'm guessing they may have more in the future since they have had some in the past a couple of times now.
