Little Black Bag - July 2013

BCBGeneration Mini Square Crossbody and Hello Kitty Big Bow Polka Dots Coin Bag

Hello Kitty Quilted Face Bag

This is an extremely addictive and fun shopping experience brought to you by a company called Little Black Bag. You chose one item from their website and for $10 or more (depending on the item you start your bag with) two additional items are added to your bag.  Then you trade with other ladies on their website.  What you end up with at the end of the seven days of trading is up to your trading skills and how much time you want to spend doing it.

Starting Bag ($155 retail value):

  1. Hello Kitty Quilted Face Bag, $65.00 retail value
  2. Robert Rose Alligator Earrings, $15 value
  3. Nakamol Multi Beaded Ring, $20 value
  4. Jessica McClintock Sequin Kiss Lock Bag, $55 value (referral item)
I chose the Hello Kitty Face Bag to open my bag with at a cost of $35.90 including shipping.  I had a $10 coupon and a referral credit for one $50 item.  So I started with four items in my bag instead of three.  I had no intention of trading the Hello Kitty bag that I opened my bag with, but I received lots of generous trade offers.  So I started trading the $15 Robert Rose Alligator Earrings for the $16 Robert Rose Embellished Earrings, which gave me an increase of $1 in value.  Later I traded those earrings for the $18 Carol Dauplaise Double Link Stone Drop Earrings for an increase of $2 in value.  While that was going on I also traded my $55 Jessica McClintock bag for the $68 BCBGeneration Foldover Sequin Clutch for an increase of $13 in value.  A few days before trading was over I decided to no longer trade up, but to trade for what I wanted.  So I traded two items for one.  I traded my $18 Carol Daupaise Double Link Stone Drop Earrings and my $68 BCBGeneration Foldover Sequin Clutch for the $78 BCBGeneration Mini Square Crossbody.  For that transaction it was a decrease of $8 in value, but it's still an $8 increase in value since I first started trading.  While that was going on, the trading offers were not good on the ring. I decided on a lateral trade, trading my $20 Nakamol Multi Beaded Ring for a more popular item which was the $20 Carol Dauplaise Pull Through Circle Earrings.  I later traded those earrings for the $20 Hello Kitty Big Bow Polka Dots Coin Bag.  Here's what I ended up with:

Finished Bag ($163.00 retail value):
  1. Hello Kitty Quilted Face Bag, $65 retail value
  2. BCBGeneration Mini Square Crossbody, $78 value
  3. Hello Kitty Big Bow Polka Dots Coin Bag, $20 value
The value of my bag went up from $155 to $171 (+16) at it's peak and then down to $163.00 (+$8).  Mind you, I'm not the best at trading and others have much more success.  All of this for $35.90!  That makes each item only cost $11.96 each including shipping!  What a bargain and so the addiction continues.  Stay tuned for my next Little Black Bag.  Have you tried out Little Black Bag?  If not, what are you waiting for!  Click here for 25% off your first bag!  If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
