When I saw the trailer for this movie I immediately put it on my must-see movie list. It was released on February 8th and it is three minutes shy of two hours long. It had quite a few laughs some of the funniest were physical comedy done by Taraji and the expressions on Aldis' face in response were also funny. Take a quick look at the trailer:
It's a bit slow in the beginning until she starts hearing what men are saying in their head which happens about twenty minutes into the movie. The things they are saying make for quite a few laughs. This movie could use a few more laughs, but it's a pretty good comedy which I enjoyed. It's not necessary to see it in the theatre since there aren't any scenic scenes or scenes that look so much better on the big screen. It's set mostly inside houses, her office, and a stadium. Tracy needed some more lines, he wasn't very funny in this movie. Wendi had some good lines and expressions, but she wasn't at her funniest. Most of the comedy was done by Taraji, I was very impressed by her acting. The scenes with her boyfriend were some of my favorites and his reactive expressions were hilarious. Hubby & I give this movie three out of five stars. While I enjoyed it, it's not a movie I'd watch again. Oh before I forget, make sure you do not leave the theatre or stop the DVD until after the credits. This is one of those movies that annoyingly show some credits, you get up to leave and by the time you get down the stairs, it starts the final scene. So we had to watch the final scene standing at the bottom. Since I really enjoyed Taraji's acting, I've been looking at some of her other movies I have missed and I put them on my list to see. If you haven't seen Max Greenfield in his new tv show The Neighborhood put it on your DVR list, it's so funny. It's one of my new favorite tv shows.
So do tell, what movies have you seen lately? The movies on my must-see list are the Men in Black & The Secret Life of Pets sequels, Rocketman, Us, Shazam!, Hustle, Aladdin, Yesterday, Hobbs & Shaw, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Judy and Downton Abbey.
