Bangkok Shrimp Tacos - $13.00

Cabo Burger Without Bun - $13.00

This is a review for a restaurant located in Raleigh, North Carolina called Salt & Lime Cabo Grill. They open everyday at 11 am and close at 10 pm Monday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday they close an hour later at 11 pm and Sunday they close earlier at 9 pm. It's a very popular restaurant, so you may want to make a reservation, their phone number is listed above. Their health score is 97 which is very good. Upon arrival, Hubby & I were immediately greeted by a friendly hostess and promptly seated at a table.

Our waitress arrived only a couple minutes after we were seated and she took our drink order. She was very friendly and offered to help us decide what to order and was happy to answer our questions. Shortly after we ordered she brought out some chips and salsa. I'm in love with their salsa, it's best I've ever had! Unfortunately, I've been craving it ever since and I can't wait to get back to have some more. It's absolutely scrumptious! The chips are pretty good also and they aren't greasy. The waitress was prompt in bringing out a second bowl of salsa when I ran out. I ordered the Bangkok Shrimp Tacos which are described as "three grilled flour tortillas, crispy fried shrimp, honey chipotle sauce, Caribbean salsa, Napa mix, crispy rice sticks, green onions, sriracha sauce and lime cream". Oh my, these were so delicious! I highly recommend them. I'm usually a bit apprehensive when ordering seafood tacos because most restaurants aren't generous. I'm happy to report there was a good amount of shrimp in these tacos, yum. The shrimp was nice and crisp yet not greasy and the sauce on them was scrumptious. The crispy rice sticks didn't have any flavor, but gave a nice crunch. The salsa was pretty good, my only complaint is the pineapple. I'm not a big fan of pineapple unless it's in a dessert. This entree doesn't come with a side. A side is $2 to $3 extra and they have thirteen sides to chose from. If you aren't going to eat the chips & salsa, I would recommend ordering a side otherwise the three tacos will be filling. For $13, one would think it would come with a side. Hubby ordered the Cabo Burger without the bun since he's on a low carb diet. Normally, the burger comes with sweet potato fries and sauce as a side, but hubby substituted spicy spinach. He found it very bland and wouldn't order it again. The burger on the other hand he loved and he would order it again for sure. His burger is described as "Chile-spiced brisket burger, jack cheese, adobe sauce, braised short ribs, red onions, roasted tomato and arugula". If you love brisket and short ribs, this is what you'll want to order. The food took eighteen minutes to arrive after the chips & salsa were served. We noticed the food was taking longer than expected for all customers. While it was a long wait, all of the food that I saw was of excellent quality and everyone seemed to enjoy their entrees. The salads & burritos are very large. The margaritas looked yummy, I'll have to try one next time. They offer beer, wine margaritas and cocktailsOur waitress was very attentive and prompt and it was a wonderful experience.

I highly recommend you give this restaurant a try and it's been added to our favorite restaurants list. What's your favorite restaurant in Raleigh?
