There is a new Japanese restaurant opening on March 7th, 2017 in Winston Salem, North Carolina. It's located in the Shoppes at Little Creek shopping center off Hanes Mall Boulevard not far from Costco. It's in a 9,000 square foot free standing building. It's called UMI and it features table side hibachi grill cooking. They offer a private dining room for up to forty guests, a semi private room for up to twenty guests, several bars inside and out and a booth section.
Lunch will be served Monday thru Friday from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm and on Saturday from noon until 2:30 pm. Dinner will be served Monday thru Thursday from 4:30 pm until 10:30 pm, Friday from 4:30 to 11 pm, Saturday from 2:30 pm to 11 pm and Sunday from noon until 9:30 pm. They will be taking reservations closer to the opening date. The lunch menu features Lunch Box, Hibachi, Kitchen offerings and the Sushi Bar. The Lunch Box is served with soup, ginger house salad and a California roll. The Hibachi is served with soup and ginger house salad. Kitchen offerings are served with soup and steamed rice. The Sushi Bar offerings are served with miso soup. The dinner menu offers Appetizers, Sushi Bar, Kitchen, Sushi or Sashimi, Sushi Bar Dinners, House Rolls, Soup, Main Entrees, Bento Box Special, Children's Dinners, Dinners on the Grill and Hibachi Combinations.
