This is the 3rd sequel of the movie Men in Black and it was released on June 14th. It's rated PG-13. It's listed as a comedy, action, and adventure. There were only a couple of jokes that got a chuckle from the audience, so I certainly wouldn't call it a comedy. This movie was disappointing to me though Hubby really enjoyed it. Its plot was so simple and boring. I thought there were too many conversation scenes and not enough action and special effects. During the talking scenes, I would rest my eyes. If I had been watching it on DVD, I would have fast-forwarded past the boring scenes. The best acting was done by Kumial as the voice of the cute little animated character called Pawny. He was in HBO's TV show Silicon Valley. If it wasn't for him, I would have taken a nap. I didn't care for the two main actors, Chris & Tessa. I found them boring, their expressions lacking, overall bad acting. Emma & Liam had very small parts in this movie, so don't go see it if they are the reason you want to see it. Check out the trailer:
I was disappointed that most of the animated characters were extras. Some of them were interesting and visually entertaining to look at, but the majority of them either only spoke one or two sentences or didn't speak at all. I recommend skipping this one unless you are a huge fan of Chris or Tessa since they are the main characters. It's a shame they couldn't get Will Smith to return. He could have saved this boring movie. I can't even recommend it on DVD. I give it two out of five stars. If you saw this movie, how many stars do you give it?
Stay tuned for my next movie review which will probably be for Shaft, Late Night, or Anna. Which summer movies are on your must-see list? I saw previews for this and actually wondered if it'd be worth watching. Didn't seem very interesting. I'll go with what you said and skip seeing it.
What good movies have you seen lately?
