This is a review of a weekly food subscription called Green Chef. It had been a while since I ordered from them mainly due to cost. They are one of the most expensive meal kit services since all of the ingredients are organic. They recently lowered the price and they offered a discount if I returned, so I decided to give them a try again. Currently, their Keto meals cost $12.99 each, they use to cost $14.99. Vegetarian, Vegan, Omnivore, and Gluten-Free cost $11.99. Palo and Keto cost $12.99. The family plan costs $10.99. We chose from the Keto menu, so all of these recipes are low carb and they also happen to be gluten-free and low in calories. Net carbohydrates range from 10 to 19 grams and calories range from only 400 to 480. We gave one recipe five out of five stars and two recipes three stars. Our favorite recipe was the Seed-Crusted Chicken. Preparation time ranged from 35 to 60 minutes.

Greek Lemon Basil Tuna Steak, Creamy Broccoli & Bell Pepper, Sunflower Seeds, and Olives

Whenever they offer tuna steak I order it since in the past it's been so tasty. This one lacked spice or a sauce for the tuna so we gave this recipe three out of five stars. The sauce on the vegetables was ok, it was just a bit too sour and too creamy and they only gave us two olives. We thought that was strange. This one has only 480 calories, 10 grams of carbs and it was a healthy portion. It took 35 minutes to prepare while the recipe card states 25 minutes.

Seed-Crusted Chicken, Spaghetti Squash Noodles with Creamy Caper Sauce

We gave this recipe five out of five stars, it was scrumptious. It could use a bit of green parsley or perhaps a little red pepper to make it look more appetizing. It took about an hour to prepare while the recipe card states 40 minutes. It has only 400 calories, 19 grams of carbs and it was a very generous portion. I always love spaghetti squash so I knew I had to order this one. We had waited a week before making this recipe, stuck the chicken in the freezer until the night before and the rest of the ingredients were still fresh. The spiced poppy and sesame seed blend on the tender chicken breasts was delicious. The mix of cream cheese, spaghetti squash, yellow onion, butter, sundried tomatoes, and capers was incredibly tasty. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

Philly Stuffed Pepper, Shaved Steak & Provolone Filling, and Butternut Hash

I haven't had a Philly cheesesteak sandwich before, so Hubby was a better judge of this recipe. He gave it three out of five stars. It was missing mushrooms and it didn't have enough cheese. Also, the side dish of butternut hash was very tasty but it was too small of a portion. It took 45 minutes to prepare while the recipe card states 30 minutes. We waited a week to make this one and the ingredients were still in good shape, of course, we placed the steak in the freezer until the night before. This one has only 400 calories and 16 grams of carbs.

I appreciate that Green Chef has lowered the price a bit. The five-star recipe makes me want to order again. I will probably order again when I see 3 recipes that look awesome. The next two weeks I'm ordering from Plated who offered me a discount to return and the next week will be another order from Home Chef.
