This is a review of an Italian restaurant owned & operated by Italians located in King, North Carolina called Little Italy. You can view their main menu on their website and they have a separate menu for their pizza. They have four restaurants in North Carolina located in King, Rural Hall, Welcome & Burlington. I believe the King located has the largest dining room and it's a free standing building with lots of parking. They are open everyday from 10 am to 10 pm. We have eaten at their restaurant twice and ordered carry out more times than I can count. My favorite meal to order for carry out is their Tuna Sub and Hubby's favorite is the Meatball Sub.

Dining in you will find a very large dining room with chairs and tables and many booths. The waitresses are the friendliest you will find anywhere in the area! They make you feel like you are their friend visiting their home. Service is always extremely attentive and the food comes out quickly. All pasta dishes come with a tossed salad and garlic bread. Every dish we have tried so far has been delicious. You really can't go wrong, so it is a difficult decision which one to order. Their waitresses are more than happy to help you decide what to order and answer any questions you may have. The portions are huge, so you could easily save half to take home and eat the next day for lunch. The Ultimate Chocolate Cake is a must order item and if you don't have room, ask for it in a carry out box so that you can take it home and enjoy it later. You will not regret it! Oh, it's so delicious! Make sure you let it come to room temperature prior to eating it.

Carry out is a wonderful option when you want to eat at home instead. They have orders ready in about 10-15 minutes. Call ahead so that you don't have to wait. I have ordered two of the cold subs so far, the Turkey & Provolone and the Tuna Sub. The turkey is sliced very thick. All of the subs come with a bag of chips which is usually Ruffles. They are both very good subs, but my favorite is the Tuna. I've also tried their Grilled Shrimp Salad and that was good too. Hubby has ordered many of the hot subs including the Cheese Steak, Meatball Parmigiana and Sausage Parmigiana. His favorite is the Meatball Parmigiana Sub though he rotates between the three subs. We have also ordered their pizza to go and it is very good and a bargain at only $10.95 including two toppings. It's so large it doesn't quite fit in the box, see photo above! The left side is folded over so it will fit. I don't recommend ordering extra cheese, since they already use so much, it's not necessary. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

I highly recommend you give this authentic Italian restaurant a try next time you are in the area or visit one of their other locations, if they are closer to you.
