This is a review of three new products from the Covergirl Outlast All Day line. I was sent all three products for free from Influenster to review. I liked the lipstick the most.
After applying the lip color, you wait sixty seconds for it to dry. Then you apply the clear stick gloss on top. On my lips it's a reddish coral color. It's matte until you apply the gloss on top. It is suppose to last all day and in fact it really does! It was still looking good even after my dental cleaning and dinner afterwards! That's the true test of a long lasting lip color! My Husband even remarked that it was still on after my dentist appointment. Only the gloss needed to be reapplied. But if you prefer the matte look then you don't need to apply the gloss. After my evening shower it was still on, but it needed a touch up by then. The previous time I used it I found that after waking up from sleeping all night it was still on! It's a bit odd waking up and seeing lipcolor on your lips after a full night's sleep! This is the first long lasting lipstick I have tried that didn't dry out my lips and it has outlasted all of the others. It also didn't feather into fine lines, it's stays exactly where you apply it and it doesn't budge. I am truly amazed by it's staying power! I highly recommend giving this one a try. The retail price is $8.49, but I've seen it for $3.99 to $7.94 online.
The concealer has full coverage in just one application and it retails for $10.49. It can be found for less, about $8.54 at discount stores. I was impressed that with only one quick application it had full coverage. It also has amazing staying power. It didn't budge at all after a full day out and about. My only issue was finding a shade of foundation that matched. I have very fair skin, so it's always difficult for me to find concealers and foundations that match my skin tone well. It didn't quite match any of the foundations that I own. It was a bit too warm of a color which didn't quite work with the cool shades of foundations I own.
I was also impressed by the finishing powder that instantly makes your makeup matte in one application. My issue was that the fair shade was too dark for my very fair skin. I would recommend this product for those that find it easier to find a shade that matches their skin which is usually medium skin tones. It retails for $11.29, but it can be found for less at discount stores usually around $9.49.
It was an enjoyable experience trying out these three new products. I'm always skeptical about products that are suppose to last all day, so you can imagine my surprise when these products actually did. I plan to look for another color of the lipstick and purchase that. It's an amazing product. Have you found a lipstick that actually lasts all day?
