This is a review of my sixth box from Green BlenderRead more about this service in my previous review in which I explain their pricing, shipping, drinking straws and recipe cards. Also, check out my Green Blender Pinterest Board to see their recipe cards and all of my recipe results so far. This week I gave three smoothies three out of five stars and two recipes two out of five stars. It was my least favorite box so far.

Green Golden Berry Blend

Look at those golden berries in the photo above, have you ever seen these before? I had never heard of them before. I cut one in half to see what the center looked like and it was like a little tomato with tiny little seeds. I threw out a bit of the collard greens that weren't in great shape and some were a bit yellow. The pear wasn't ripe, but I used it anyway and it still tasted good. The pineapple needed to be used right away. This one tasted mostly like pear. It also included camu camu, cashews, water and ice. I gave it three out of five stars. It had 224 calories and offered beauty and immune boosting benefits.

Chocolate Matcha Latte

I was delighted they included matcha tea since I love it so much, but unfortunately this one tasted mostly like banana and cacao powder. It needed more quantity of matcha. If they offer it again, I'll add some more that I have in my tea cabinet. I forgot to place the rice milk in the photo, so that's missing in the photo above. Also included were swiss chard, avocado, dates, water and ice. There were a couple small pieces of swiss chard I had to throw out since they weren't in good shape. I gave this one three out of three stars. It had 268 calories and offered energy, beauty and immune boosting benefits.

Calming Apricot Chamomile

I love apricots and chamomile tea, so I was happy to see these arrive in this week's box. This one tasted mostly like honeydew which was overripe. After I tasted it, I had wished I hadn't used it. The heat has arrived here so anything that is precut doesn't do well during shipping.  I gave this one two out of five stars. I was surprised I couldn't taste the apricots much. This low calorie recipe had only 65 calories and offered anti-inflammatory and calming benefits.

Creamy Rhubarb

This one tasted mostly like grapes and orange. It also included rhubarb, ace berry powder, walnuts, water and ice. I gave it three out of five stars. It had 159 calories and offers beauty and immune boosting benefits.

Strawberry Carrot Creamsicle

The strawberries arrived too ripe and molded after being refrigerated. I had to chose between the items that were very ripe and too many of them were, so I wasn't able to use it the first couple of days. I used an apple instead since that's what I had on hand. It tasted mostly like banana. It also had carrots, hemp seeds, lucuma powder, water and ice. It had 185 calories and offered high protein, immune boosting and calming benefits.

This week the superfoods included were: matcha, cacao powder, dates, camu camu, cashews, hemp seed, lucuma powder, acai berry powder, walnuts, chamomile flowers and flaxseed. This was a disappointing box compared to the others which were so enjoyable. I emailed them about the ingredient issues I had in two boxes and they gave me a credit for a free box. I still recommend this subscription since the majority of the smoothies were very tasty and most of the time the ingredients arrive in good shape. I just finished my 7th box and I received my 8th box yesterday. The only ingredient issue in my 8th box was part of a banana was overly ripe. They are currently running a promotion for 30% off your first box.
