Too soon for info. Maybe self-tanner or body cream jars.

Maybe, too soon for info.

Kind of disappointed in another body butter TSV! I feel like her last 2 TSVs were body butter centric, so this is a pass for me and my wallet!

what does 'reverse referrals' mean?

Wendy Webster said...

It means that they are refusing to pay me the money I earned by sending them sales "referrals". I worked every day in December & January and now I won't be paid for my time. Imagine working every single day looking at your total earrings at the end of the month and then seeing them vanish the next month! A multimillion dollar company is refusing to pay the tiny amount they pay me for sending them sales. I've heard from a few other advocates and it's been done to them also. It's bad enough that they don't pay for 4 months, have a 1 hour cookie compared to other brands that have a cookie for days or even a month, don't pay for anything returned, multiple brands are omitted, and can reverse (not pay) any referrals for any reason at any time. The one hour cookie means, if you click on my link and put something in your cart but don't check out until after an hour, I don't get one cent of referral $. Think of how many times you haven't checked out within an hour, searching for other items to buy or interrupted only to come back and order it later. HSN has a 14 day cookie. I am disgusted that they are doing this to advocates that work very hard to get these referrals. It is not easy to do.

Hi Wendy,
What QVC did to you is unbelievably (insert unlady like word here) I've clicked on your links trying to support you. I'm not surprised these "cookies" did not work in your favor. I hope you got at least some of the referral credit. ( I’ve used some that are NOT QVC) I too run a website and have been very skeptical of these "partnerships." Still...we proceed on good faith right? I've signed on to a couple affiliates on my website and have had limited revenue - despite numerous clicks. They are constantly updating their “operating agreements,” some of which get consistently worse. The fact that QVC did this angered me for you AND lots of others out there working hard in “good faith” with web affiliates. I’m cancelling a lot of mine and I am going to look to partner with smaller companies. Oh and QVC is not getting my money for a good while…if ever again. Love your website and don’t worry…good work like yours will be rewarded. Sharon

Wow what horrible behavior from QVC! I’m sorry you are not being compensated for your times, especially since I really appreciate your blog.

Haven't been a fan since I bought Beekman. She has lost a lot of customers recently due to a FB post.

Wendy Webster said...

Guess you don't read my daily updates? I announced it on the 6th.

Thanks, Sharon! Normally they reverse about 35%, some returns and the rest the mysterious "other". 100% reversal means $0 for over 2 months work, it is devastating. They even said they would give us more during the holidays to encourage us to work harder. It is really depressing that anyone would do this, especially a co with so much $. The only other company that didn't pay out was Green Blender right before they filled bankruptcy. Reason used was that it was an "error". Yes, they lack honesty. Yes, they change the offer with little notice or no notice. The contract is very long and it's totally in their favor. Yeah, the $ they are losing from my pocket as a customer would have paid for the $ they owe me. After 9 years as a blogger, this was the last straw. I sent them customers for years and they didn't pay me a penny. It's only since late 2019 that they started to pay. There is no reward but depression.

This really disgusts me. So much. I've also tried to support you by clicking the link from your site... but did you get credit??? Who knows.... getting more and more unhappy with the practices of QVC. Just so wrong.

Wendy Webster said...

Thanks, Rozio!

This is appalling, I am so sorry they are doing this to you. Is there anyone at QVC we can target an email to so we can express our displeasure?

I am so disappointed in them! It was so great when they did begin working with you I was so happy to have you finally reimbursed for everything you compiled for all of us. I think the only way to voice my feelings to them is to not shop there anymore.

Wendy Webster said...

Thank you for your support and sympathy!

Wendy Webster said...

Thank you for your support & sympathy, Mary Anne. I'm told it's due to budget constraints.

This is a so unfortunate! It is terrible to hear when a company doesn't support the people who support them. Your blog is wonderful and helps me to budget my expenditures. Thank you for all you do.

Wendy Webster said...

Thank you for your kind words. It's very sad especially after they offered more % during the holidays only to have all the sales reversed and to be given $0 months later. The contract is totally in their favor, they can do as they wish at any time. "Budget constraints" yet they still are taking in new people to sell their products. I'm glad you appreciate all the hours it takes to search for this info every day. Each year it becomes more difficult to find the info. I can't afford to work every day for free.
