I am writing to share my review of Dreaming of Paris by Caroline Stowe, which I highly recommend and have rated four out of five stars. I had the pleasure of reading an advance copy of this novel before its scheduled release on April 16th. As this is the author’s second book, I enjoyed the experience so much that I plan to read her debut novel soon and look forward to her future work.
The story is beautifully written with a pace perfect for a relaxing weekend. I found the narrative so engaging that I stayed up late reading and picked it up again first thing the next morning. I particularly enjoyed the dual perspectives of the main characters and found the ending to be absolutely perfect.
The setting also held personal significance for me, as I have visited Paris twice—once as a young solo traveler and more recently with my husband and our two dogs. The book captures the magic of the city perfectly, from the historic sites to the general atmosphere, making it the ideal backdrop for a love story. It is a wonderful, dreamy escape that I highly recommend to anyone looking for an entertaining and moving read.
