I searched for new restaurants in the area and I found Daddy Bob's Barbeque which to my surprise has been open since January. We've been missing out! You've been missing out! If you haven't tried out this restaurant get in your car and drive there immediately! Oh me oh my their food is scrumptious! Originally their food was only available via their food truck. Their restaurant is located in Angier, North Carolina. It's on the right side of Carlie C's IGA. They are open from 11 am to 8 pm Monday through Saturday. They are closed on Sundays. 

We visited last Saturday at around 1:30 pm. It's a small restaurant. They have a couple of tables inside and two half picnic tables outside. Their sanitation grade is 96.5% which is very good. We called in our order to save time and to be sure they weren't sold out. I chose The Skinny Chicken which is described as "chicken salad, lettuce, and tomato on a Martin's roll". It was sold out by the time we got there so I'm glad Hubby called in our order. I added some Jalapeno Cheddar Hushpuppies and a small Diet Pepsi for $2.50 extra. The drinks are self serve. The chicken salad has green grapes in it and it's delicious! The addition of the lettuce, tomato, and the potato roll make for the perfect sandwich. Be sure to get a fork since some of the chicken salad will fall out of the sandwich while you're eating it. My mouth is watering just thinking about it and I want to run over there now to get another one. If you try this one you may find yourself craving it as I have been ever since I tried it. The Jalapeno Cheddar Hushpuppies are awesome. Little pieces of jalapeno are the perfect addition to hushpuppies! They offer three sauces, one is Texas Barbeque Sauce, one is a vinegar based sauce and the other is Alabama White Sauce. The Alabama White Sauce is my favorite. It's very tasty and it's perfect to dip the hushpuppies in. Here are their three sauces:

Hubby chose the Brisket Plate which comes with coleslaw and your choice of two sides. He chose a double order of green beans since the other choices weren't low carb. Also, he chose the Jalapeno Coleslaw over the plain and we both recommend it, yum! He loved the Brisket and he'll be back for more soon. Oh, I forgot to mention the staff is very friendly and welcoming. We also bumped into a fellow Navy veteran who sailed with Hubby long ago, how crazy is that!

We then went to see the movie Ma, stay tuned for my review. On the way home I asked what he would like for dinner and he suggested Daddy Bob's. We both couldn't stop thinking of the delicious meals we had at lunch so went there for dinner too. Yep, that's how good it is. They are closed on Sundays and Hubby was going out of town, so it would be a week until we could return again. So we ate there twice in one day! So funny! On our 2nd visit around 6:30 pm they were out of the Chicken Salad which I wanted to order again, so I ordered the Turkey Plate. Be sure to arrive early if you are craving a particular meal when they sell out that's it until the next day. My side choices were Jalapeno Coleslaw, Jalapeno Hushpuppies, and French Fries. I ate a couple of the hushpuppies prior to taking the photo, so yummy! I recommend skipping the fries and getting a double serving on Jalapeno Hushpuppies or Coleslaw. The Smoked Turkey is scrumptious, perfectly seasoned, tender, and moist. Hubby chose to order 12 Smoked Chicken Wings, he chose Dry Rub rather than Buffalo. He absolutely loved them and will purchase them again soon. Check out our dinners:
