Macy's Beauty Box Review - December 2018

This is a review of the beauty subscription box from Macy's for $15 per month including shipping. This month it came with a $10 off $10 or more coupon instead of $5 off $10, occasionally they do that. It's good for any beauty product in Macy's store or on their website and they offer free shipping. I used it for some sheet masks. The approximate retail value of this month's box is $62.63 not including the coupon nor the cosmetic bag, bargain! Included in the December box were the following products:

1. Smashbox - Always On Liquid Lipstick Metallic Mattes in Maneater, made in Italy, .06 fl. oz., $11.07 approximate retail value 
2. Sunday Riley - Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream, made in the USA with domestic and foreign ingredients, .3 fl. oz., $11.47 retail value
3. Borghese - Radiante Revitalize & Firm Mask, made in the USA, .5 fl. oz., $14.70 retail value
4. MAC - In Extreme Dimension Lash Mascara, made in Canada, .14 fl. oz., $7.63 retail value 
5. Carolina Herrera - Good Girl Légère Eau de Parfum Spray, made in Spain, .05 fl. oz., $2.76 retail value
6. Rituals - The Ritual of Sakura Zensational Foaming Shower Gel with Cherry Blossom & Organic Rice Milk, made in Italy, 6.7 fl. oz. full size, $15.00

The Smashbox lipstick has a lovely metallic shine to it yet it's matte. It does come off on my teacup very easily though so I'm not a fan of that. While I'm not a fan of red lipstick on myself, at least this one has a blue hue which is less likely to make your teeth appear more yellow than they are. It's a nice color for the holidays. The Sunday Riley Water Cream smells like cucumber and it has a gel consistency that sinks into the skin quickly. It's moisturizing and leaves a smooth surface. I've always wanted to try a gold mask, so I was happy to open the Borghese Mask jar and find that it is metallic gold with a gel consistency.  While it was moisturizing I didn't see any other effects. It says to leave it on 5-10 minutes and I left it on for about 30 minutes. It can be used 1-2 times a week. I've tried Mac's mascara before and I wasn't that impressed. Not a fan of the Good Girl Perfume either. Its notes are mandarin, jasmine, ylang-ylang, green pear, tonka bean, and sandalwood. The Rituals Shower Gel goes on like shaving cream and its perfume scent is very nice, but it doesn't linger after you rinse it off. It leaves the skin feeling clean, smooth and very moisturized. I really like it, I'd say it's my favorite item in this month's box and it's a full sized item! The cosmetic bag is similar to Ipsy's bag this month but of lower quality. The underside of the sequins are white, so I had to brush each one individually back in place so it would look nice for the photo. The other side is a reflective rose gold metallic faux patent leather that shows fingerprints and scratches easily.
