This is the August shipment for the Julep Maven's monthly nail polish subscription which costs only $19.99 per month. For your 1st month, it's only one cent, yep one cent, more info later. When you join, you take a quiz to determine your style. They determined my style as Classic with a Twist, which is very accurate. My intro box was perfect, see it here. Each month between the 20th and the 24th of the month you have the option to chose a different style for that month's shipment. I looked on their blog and saw what would be shipped for August in my style and decided to switch to the Boho Glam style. If you like surprises, you could just let them ship your box and not look on their blog! I also added a polish from the It Girl box, Melanie. You can add up to three other polishes that are shipped that month for $5 more per polish. Though this month I received an extra one for free! Then, the boxes are shipped on the 27th of the month. I received my box only 5 days later! I'm thinking these three colors would make a good water marble creation. My favorite nail colors are blue and greens. I will try it later this week, fingers crossed it looks good! Water marbling is a difficult technique, but I find Julep has the best polishes to try this with because they are very easy to drop into the water quickly, since they are very thin. So to sum it up, I received 3 polishes and a bottle of nail polish remover, so that makes the 4 items only $4.99 each plus a free bag. Bargain, score again! If you would like to join and become a Julep Maven, click here for your first box that will only cost you one penny! Use coupon code "MAVENINTRO". Enjoy! I will post an update when I try out these polishes, so check back later. You can see my Gradient Nail creation with my intro box from Julep here. Did you get a maven box this month, what colors did you prefer? Did you try them out and what did you think?
