Hollywood Walk of Fame Swatch

Hollywood Walk of Fame Bottle

I'm not a real big fan of the wet n wild brand, but when I heard Fergie was involved and took a look at the collection I decided to purchase some.  All the of the colors look beautiful, so deciding which ones to purchase was a challenge.  Drugstore.com was having a 40% off sale, so I decided to narrow it down to ten polishes. Hollywood Walk of Fame is on back order and I'm waiting for it's arrival.  This glitter looks like it would be rough to the touch, but it's smooth with one coat of Seche Vite on top.  It seems glitter polish has improved a lot, this is the second brand I've tried lately that has been smooth!

Make Them Boys Go Loco is a black base with red round large glitter pieces.  It's easy to apply.  I saw a review by another blogger and she complained about the extra wide brush, but I found it helpful when applying this line of large glitter polishes.  When applying large glitter you want to use as few strokes as possible, because if you go over what you applied you will be removing some of the glitter!  This polish is prettier in person.  This would look so pretty with a black dress & red accessories!  Would be perfect for a holiday party!   This one is my 3rd favorite out of this collection.

No Place Like Home:  think of Dorothy's shoes in The Wizard of Oz!  Very pretty, tons of red & holographic glitter. May want to use three coats or use one coat of plain white or red polish first then 2 coats on top.  Would look great with anything black with red & silver accessories. This is my 4th favorite since I don't wear a lot of bold red polish.  If you love red, buy this, it's awesome!

Take the Stage:  pretty purple fine glitter and large round silver glitter.  This one will need 3 coats or a plain white or purple polish first.  Wear this one with silver jewelry and cool colored fabrics.  This is my sixth favorite, since I'm trying to wear less purple.  It's a lot like Devine Swine from OPI.  If you love this shade of purple, buy it!

Mermaid Curves:  think summer or a cold snowy winter day.  Would look great with a furry white coat or those furry white snow boots!  In the summer, would be great with a turquoise dress or bathing suit.  You could get away with two coats, but I think I'll go for three.  This one is my favorite out of this collection.  Definitely a winter or summer polish.

Kaleidoscope Eyes:  large gold & turquoise glitter in a clear base.  This would look great on top of a gold or black polish, one or two coats, no more.  Wear gold jewelry with this one.

Flossy Flossy:  small & large gold glitter with a clear base that has extra fine holographic pieces.  Could try this one on top of black, gold or white polish.  Wear gold jewelry with this one.

Rock n Roll:  extra fine grey glitter with fine holographic pieces.  Can be worn alone with 2-3 coats.  This is my 2nd favorite.  Definitely wear this one on a sunny day to get the full effect of those holographic pieces!  Wear cool colors and silver jewelry with this polish and a grey or black outfit.

Tonight's Gonna be a Good Night: small black matte pieces & large gold glitter in a clear base.  Try this one over metallic black, gold or white polish.  Wear gold accessories with this one and a black or red outfit.

Glamourous:  extra fine gold glitter & large glitter in a clear base.  Would look good on top of black, gold, white metallic, or any warm color polish.  Really will spice up a boring polish!  It's the perfect glitter top coat!  This is my 5th favorite.

Hollywood Walk of Fame:  my backordered polish arrived.  It has fine gold glitter in dots and bars and stars in a clear base.  This is meant to be used as a glitter top coat.  First apply as a top coat as you do with any polish then fish the stars out of the bottle and dot them on where you would like them.

So there you have it, my huge haul of Fergie polish from drugstore.com!  I've never purchased that many polishes from one collection, but for $2.09 per bottle, how in the world could I resist!  I also received money back from Mr. Rebates & drugstore dollars to be used in January on top of 40% off.  Bargain!
