Beekman 1802, a cosmetics company, has been purchased by three companies for $92 million. Eurazeo is investing $62 million to acquire a majority stake in the company, alongside co-investors Cohesive Capital Partners and the Cherng Family Trust for $30 million. According to the release, the investment will expand the Beekman 1802 brand internationally.
Since the Beekman Boys aren't announcing that they sold their company, I am getting the word out. Silence speaks volumes. Why would they want to hide this information you ask? One reason is that they told their loyal customers aka "neighbors" that they would not sell. Back when they were asking their "neighbors" if they should choose Ulta or Sephora to carry their line many customers had concerns that their next step would be selling Beekman 1802. Consumers are tired of being loyal customers to a brand only to have them sell it and watch the cosmetics change negatively and have to find another brand they can trust. The Beekman Boys told us not to worry and that they weren't going to sell, that they just wanted more "neighbors" to spread kindness. After they chose Ulta, they asked their customers to go to their local Ulta and give a gift to employees and give a testimonial to promote their products. Many of their loyal customers did just that. That is how loyal their customers are. Imagine how they feel now. The Beekman Boys have built a relationship with their customers and push "kindness". But is it kind not to announce such a big change to their "neighbors"? Why keep it a secret if it's not bad news. Eventually, they will find out anyway. They promote clean and cruelty-free, but selling to a Chinese investor means it will most likely not be cruelty-free and not free of chemicals.
First I asked for a comment on their Facebook page about selling their company. Then I asked about animal cruelty due to selling to a Chinese company, saying previously that they wouldn't sell, and quality issues when companies sell. These are their responses:

Amen. I have purchased so many brands over the years because I loved their high quality and uniqueness and trusted the developers' integrity. Then the brands were sold, and too often the first I knew of it was after I realized that the product had changed and had become the same old stuff I could find anywhere. Stick to your guns!
this is SO disappointing!
I, too, am done with them. One of my favorite brands used to be IT cosmetics mainly because they were cruelty free and a decent product. Like the Beekman boys, Jamie sold out to evil L'oreal, one of the biggest animal abusers. Greed kills.
Yeah, it's so disappointing when you find a product you love to watch it change while they deny it will. They can try to silence the info, but eventually we will find out. BE was just sold for a fraction of what they bought it for.
I agree!
Yep, one after another gives in to greed. How many millions or billions do they need!
I too was really disappointed when Jamie sold to L'Oreal....
The quality of the products and scents have gone way down. Philosophy, Laura Geller, the Beekman boys, Lori Goldstein, Tarte, It Cosmetics. the minute they get bought out by venture capitalists, the loyal customers get screwed. It’s an invisible mega-crime. We make these people multi-millionaires and they reward us by selling out.
BEEKMAN PRODUCT ARE NOT WHAT IT USED BE>
I still love Beekman products and use regularly. I have not noticed any issues-the quality is still top notch and prices decent. I watch for the specials and save money. I believe even tho they sold, they still maintain the integrity of their product.
I also don’t believe that other companies like IT, Philosophy, etc. have sacrificed quality.
I get tired of people always complaining.
I used Beekman products all the time and I agree has gone way down and the price way up till I can not afford it anymore. So I started looking around for other clean product and guess what I found a lot out there. So I’m starting to use new product to bad but I guessing they got what they were alway looking for (more money)
