Play! by Sephora Subscription Box Review - April 2017

Step it Up!

This is a review of a monthly cosmetics subscription box from Sephora called Play! by Sephora. It's only $10 a month and it includes 6 samples. This month's box has a retail value of $31.48. That's one of the lowest values I have received so far. For the month of April I received the following products:
  1. Philosophy - Made Simple Face Cleanser, made in the USA, 1 fl. oz., $3.67 retail value
  2. Make Up Forever - Waterproof Eyeliner, made in Germany, .01 oz. , $5.25 retail value
  3. Peter Thomas Ross - Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream, made in the USA, .25 fl. oz., $8.12 retail value
  4. Sephora - Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover, made in France .84 fl. oz., $3.72 retail value
  5. MIU MIU - L'Eau Bleue eau de parfum, made in France, .04 fl. oz., $2.72 retail value
  6. Smashbox - Iconic Photo Finish Foundation Primer, made in the USA, .25 fl. oz., $8.00 retail value
I have used the Philosophy facial cleanser before and I liked it. I like using the travel size in the shower since it lasts a long time and it doesn't take up much space. I'm not fond of makeup that is waterproof since it's so hard to remove, so I'm really happy they sent a waterproof eye makeup remover. My eyes and skin are really sensitive, so I hope this makeup remover doesn't irritate my skin and eyes. I really like the Peter Thomas Ross brand, so I'm always happy to receive a sample. This moisturizer has a gel consistency which I really like since it's really easy to apply and it sinks in quickly. Those type of moisturizers aren't usually very moisturizing, but this one is. If it wan't so expensive, this is one I would purchase in the full size. The perfume is lovely. It has notes of lily of the valley, wild rose and akigalawood. It has a woodsy, floral, powdery scent. I find it to be a comforting scent. I'm disappointed that I didn't receive a lipstick this month. Lipstick or lip gloss is my favorite makeup. If I don't feel like wearing makeup, I still apply some lipstick or lip gloss. What's the beauty product you can't live without?
