This is a review of our 7th shipment from a food subscription box called Sun Basket. Hubby gave all three recipes five out of five stars. I gave two recipes four out of five stars and one recipe three stars. Calories ranged from 500 to 630 and preparation time ranged from twenty to forty minutes. Two recipes were gluten free & paleo and one was low calorie.  Our favorite recipe this week was the Green Curry Shrimp. Servings cost $11.49 each except for breakfast which you receive two recipes for the price of one dinner.

Moroccan Braised Chicken with Pan Roasted Carrots

Hubby gave this one five out of five stars and I gave it four stars. It was scrumptious, but I would have like much more chicken. The Kalamata olives were very strong in flavor. The baby rainbow carrots were tender and delicious. The sauce made with lemon, onion, garlic and Moroccan spices was so tasty. It took forty-two minutes to prepare and the recipe said it would take thirty to forty minutes. It had 630 calories and it's gluten free and paleo. It was a bit on the light side, not as filling as most Sun Basket dishes.

Green Curry Shrimp with Pan Seared Bok Choy

Wow, this was scrumptious and we both agreed to give it five out of five stars. The green curry sauce was nice and spicy and it left my lips and tongue tingling. It took forty-six minutes to prepare while the recipe said it would take only twenty minutes. It was a healthy portion and it came in at only 500 calories yet it didn't taste like diet food at all. It's gluten free and paleo. Definitely worth repeating! It was our favorite recipe this week. It was a healthy portion.

Persian Trout with Tamarind, Barberries & Fresh Herbs

This recipe is part of the Globetrotter promotion they are currently running. I love trout, so I had to order this one and I appreciate that they only serve wild caught fish. Hubby gave it five out of five stars and I gave it three stars. It was sweet and tart and I just found it a bit too tart for my liking. I enjoyed the couscous and the trout. It took thirty-eight minutes to prepare and the recipe said it would take thirty to forty minutes. It had 610 calories and it was a healthy portion.

It was yet another scrumptious week of recipes from Sun Basket! If you haven't given this subscription box a try, you owe it to yourself to sign up today! I highly recommend it and it's currently my favorite. Be sure to use the link below to receive three free meals!

I just tried Sunbasket and it really made me feel good to see how they go out of their way to recycle and reuse their packaging.
