Sweet Georgia Sunrise Smoothies with Pineapple, Avocado & Honey

I love that Home Chef offers smoothies every week. I was happy that the avocado was ripe and ready to use upon arrival since I made this the same day it arrived. As usual their smoothies are very simple and quick to make. This one tasted mostly like pineapple with a hint of avocado and honey. I really couldn't taste the peach. It had 502 calories which seemed like a lot, but while avocado is high in calories, it is healthy. I gave it three out of five stars. It was enjoyable but not worth repeating.

Truffled Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup with Swiss & Cheddar on Sourdough

This was so incredibly delicious! I gave it five out five stars. I just have to order any recipe that includes a grilled cheese sandwich since it one of my favorite things to eat. They gave us enough bread for three sandwiches and suggested we portion out one and a half sandwiches per person which was too much for me. I saved one sandwich for another meal. I was surprised the recipe said to apply the truffle oil on the inside of the bread. It tasted really good. If you haven't tried truffle oil before and you love earthy flavors you must try it! I love truffle oil! I was a little nervous making tomato soup from scratch because it could turn out very bland, but I'm happy to report this one had a lot of flavor. The green onion and sour cream on top were a very nice addition. The sourdough bread was of a very high quality which is important when it comes to a grilled cheese sandwich. I would have liked another couple slices of cheese. I used the cheese they provided for two sandwiches and then for the third added my own cheese. This recipe had 900 calories if you had one and half sandwiches which was too large of a portion for me. It took about thirty five minutes to prepare and it was an easy recipe.

Grilled Pesto Flatbreads with Balsamic Feta Tomato Salad

We had this recipe previously and gave it five out of five stars, so when I saw it on the menu again I immediately ordered it. It's amazing how good this simple creation tastes. Indian Naan bread makes for the perfect base for a mini pizza. Simply add some pesto sauce on top, three slices of mozzarella, some onion   and warm it up in a pan on the stove & viola. We found the mozzarella melted faster in our little toaster oven for four minutes after being in the pan eight minutes. We topped it with fresh basil leaves after cooking. The tomato salad is simple yet delicious. It included basil, tomatoes, cucumber, garlic, red onion, feta cheese and balsamic vinegar. This recipe had 977 calories, but I couldn't eat all the salad and saved it for lunch the next day. It took about thirty minutes to prepare.

It was a very enjoyable week of recipes. I would have ordered more, but I had a Blue Apron box coming a few days later. Stay tuned for that review in a day or two. I have another Home Chef box on it's way for this week which includes the following recipes:
