Sephora Haul - 4 free samples plus the Glinda Palette & Sephora Hair Ties, Glinda Lip Color

This is a mini haul that I received in the mail today from Sephora.  I anxiously awaited the sale of the Glinda Palette and purchased it the day it went on sale online, Sunday.  If you prefer to shop at stores rather than online, you will find it at Sephora & Ulta on the 31st, Thursday.  I love shopping at Sephora.com due to the VIB bonuses, free samples and fast shipping.  The following were in my box:
  1. Algenist Overnight Restorative Cream (free sample)
  2. Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme Perfume (free sample)
  3. Pacco Rabanne Lady Million (free sample)
  4. Tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12-hr Primer SPF 30 Fair (free deluxe sample)
  5. Urban Decay - Glinda Palette
  6. Sephora Hair Ties
For the free deluxe sample I used coupon code "BBPRIMER".  You can find coupon codes on retailmenot.com and MrRebates.com.  I also received 3% cash back from Mr. Rebates.

I was surprised at how large the eyeshadow case is.  Each eyeshadow is about the size of a quarter.  The Glinda Palette also comes with an eyeliner and lipstick.  The lipstick is a earth tone, a very natural look.  It says it's a high-gloss lip color, but I'd say it's slightly glossy.  The mirror on the case is huge and you could easily use it to apply your eyeshadows. If you are using their "get the look" instructions, you will want to keep the box it came in because that is the only way you will know what the names of the eyeshadows they refer to are.  The names are unfortunately not on the metal box that holds the eyeshadows, which is disappointing.  I'm a bit confused about the two colors they refer to as Aura, which is the 2nd eyeshadow in the photo above.  One of them in the instructions is referred to as violet iridescent and while on the box's photo it appears slightly purple, the actual eyeshadow is a grey color!    Then it refers to the second Aura color as rose iridescent and it appears as pink on the box and the actual eyeshadow is a yellow color!  Maybe when they are applied to the skin they look as they do on the box?  I am also disappointed to see that the hinge on the eyeshadow box is made of plastic and I can foresee the hinge breaking.  The hinge should have been made of the same metal material the box is made out of.  Do the Naked palettes have the same hinge and has it lasted through many uses?  I didn't buy any of the Naked palettes, since they looks best on a warm skin tones rather than cool.  I find brown eyeshadows just make my skin look dirty, since I have a cool skin tone.  Speaking of skin tones, I recommend the Glinda Palette for cool skin tones and the Theodora Palette for warm skin tones.  Just as you can see the actress that plays Glinda, Michelle Williams has a cool skin tone.  Also, Theodora played by Mila Kunis has a warm skin tone.  I would have liked a matching blush to complete the look, it's a shame it is missing from this collection!  Any recommendations on a blush that would match?  So what do you think of this collection, please comment below!

I look forward to seeing the movie the palettes were inspired by!  Here's a trailer for you to watch:
