November

Well, September has arrived so it's time to put up the October TSV list while we think of fall and some cooler temperatures. Here in North Carolina, those cooler temperatures won't be arriving until October, but we can hope for maybe a day or two below normal and hopefully not a 100-degree day. With the arrival of fall, brings thoughts of Thanksgiving and Christmas gifts to buy. This is the best time of year to shop QVC since the TSVs tend to be more exciting and better priced. So buckle up for a ride to the end of the year. Fall and Spring are my favorite times of the year, what's yours?

What brands are you hoping to see have a TSV before the end of the year? I can't wait to see Dennis Basso's faux fur throws, I'm addicted. They are so comforting and snuggly during the cooler temps and our dogs love them too. I have to resist buying another faux fur coat since I can only wear them a couple days a year here and Hubby says they make him feel underdressed. The WEN TSV will probably be another set for gifting, so I look forward to seeing which scents he chose. I'll be looking forward to seeing what Josie Maran has to offer, her best prices are around the end of the year. It will be another year that I miss watching Joan Rivers during her Thanksgiving shows. I'll also be watching for Bethlehem Lights, Bare Minerals, Joan Rivers Jewelry, Harry Slatkin, Barefoot Dreams, Kitchen Aid, Vionic, L'Occitane, and Mr. Christmas offerings. So inquiring minds want to know what TSVs did you purchase in August? I made zero purchases, but Julep sent me their TSV to review which I'm so grateful for. Early September WEN and Lock & Lock somehow showed up at my door, yeah, I couldn't resist.

Thank you to those who have donated in September so far: Erin, Joleen, Susan, Tammy, and Tina. I really appreciate your support since the TSV lists are a time consuming daily chore. Sadly, QVC doesn't make it easy to find the preorder numbers. Any support is appreciated greatly. If you check this list daily or weekly, consider a donation of only $1-5. If you don't want your name mentioned, just state so in the PayPal comments section when donating. Simply click on the PayPal donation button below to help out and show your appreciation:

Thanks also go out to my kind helpers who gave me heads up in August and early September when QVC posted a new preorder link or they provided the link. Thank you, Amy, Anonymous, Bren, Kristina, Lynn, Nicole, Stephanie, and Tanya. Sometimes it's really hard to find these TSVs in advance and I have limited time daily to keep searching for them, so it's really appreciated. If I forgot anyone, my apologies. Thanks go out to those that use my referral links also. I've added three new ones, Harry's Razors, Simple Canvas Prints, and Ring. I only list products that I use and recommend. Thank you for your support!

I sure hope that September and October bring you joy, peace, wealth and health and that you are able to spend lots of time with those that you love. What exciting things do you have planned? Till next month...

You are welcome to share a link to this blog post, but please be kind & respectful and do not copy my post and post it elsewhere. I spend countless hours searching for preorder numbers, so credit is due.

Thank you (as always) for sharing this list!!

In August, I purchased the folding ottoman set, the Halston long sweater and the spurtle set, all of which I adore! I also purchased the L&L set in Sept, I just can't stay away as they are great to bring to people homes for the holidays :)

I am looking forward to Dennis Basso's TSV as well, and I will be watching for Earth as well. Their shoes are SO comfortable! I also am always tempted by Harry Slatkin and Barefoot Dreams, and if a good Wen deal comes up, I am finally going to pull the trigger and try it!

Thank you again Wendy, not only for your hard work finding the upcoming TSVs, but for building such a great community, where people can come and swap stories and testimonies. It is so nice to be a part of it, and I am happy to help when I can.

Don't worry about the list, just worry about staying safe and sound doing the hurricane!!! I can't even imagine how this must feel!

Honestly, I'm still paying off my "easy pays" for the year so I'm sincerely hoping to see nothing I like! I need to pace myself... I keep buying and buying... at least I'm done with handbags, because a) Bethanie left Oryany and they don't seem to bring new bags, b) I am not a fan of Vince Camuto bags, c) GILI bags became repetitive and not attractive to me, d) as far as Dooneys, I will only buy Florentine leather which they stopped selling.

It's the fashion that gets me in trouble, especially Isaac!

Nicole said...

Agreed, stay safe Wendy!!

Kristina, I also agree with your point, I have to slow down on my spending, I keep seeing things I love! I need to get into the mindset of not looking for myself, but for presents. Like Wendy said, this is the best time to stock up on gifts for the holidays. I hope I can stop spending and just focus on getting things for the other people in my life I have to shop for!

Unknown said...

Praying you & your family will be safe through the hurricane!

Kristina said...

Nicole, well, presents cost $$$$ as well! Fortunately or unfortunately for me, my family is in Poland (mom, sister, niece) so we don't exchange gifts unless I visit them in person (shipping charges are ridiculous). That gives me more reasons and $$$ to shop for myself only ;) Hence my plan to get a law degree.... I'm convinced that $50K for a 4 year program will save me money which I otherwise would have spent on QVC shopping over the same period of time! The plan is to be busy studying, not shopping! :)

ty, Kristina & Nicole. I've lived in hurricane areas since 1990, pretty used to it. It's tornadoes that scare the crap out of me which come with hurricanes also. Yes, overseas shipping is ridiculous! Have to find lightweight gifts.

Wendy Webster said...

ty, Jenny :)

Wendy Webster said...

yw, Nicole :) Is the long sweater soft? I need to get to a store and try on some Earth shoes. Every year the WEN TSV during the holidays is a set of seasonals in the small size all gift boxed and an instructional DVD. Yes, it's nice that everyone is kind to each other here and helpful. :) ty 4 ur assistance in that!

Amy said...

All my thoughts and prayers go out to you and everyone out there. God Bless and stay safe!

Last year Chaz changed up his holiday TSV. He offered the small size set as a one day only. The TSV was 3 32oz cleansing conditioners. I ordered the rice ones(mandarin fig, green tea and light). Everyone who ordered my set was accidentally sent non scented instead of light so they mailed out light for free. I was pretty happy to get 4 -32 ounces! Now if he would just have a good sale in the styling creams I would be set.

I wish the faux fur blanket will come separately from the bear- while its cute I don't have use for it and would rather have a better price on the blanket. Thanks for always being so up to date. I read your blog a lot and really enjoy it. I would like to donate but don't use paypal. I don't guess you have any other sort of way for us to send funds? My generation uses Venmo which is free and safe and connects directly to your bank acct. just a thought. Looking forward to some Josie deals and steals. I went against my better judgment and ordered the August TSV in vanilla bean. It is nice but I probably had enough oil and milk- I'll probably skip or cancel my AD. Do you ever try the TILI (try it love it) boxes? They are $20 and pretty good value worth of stuff - the past one was disappointing because the big ticket item was tweezermans which I already own.

ty, Amy

Wendy Webster said...

If I remember correctly, it was only offered 1 year as a TSV together. It makes a great gift for a child or a dog. yw :) ty, I'm only using paypal at this time. Never heard of venmo. Yeah, I've seen them but for $23. I find my subscription boxes like Macy's & Sephora are a better deal. Macy's sent a $10 gift card this month, so it only cost $5. They don't charge s/h. If q lowered the price and offered free s/h I might.

Wendy Webster said...

Wow, lucky u, Jodi. He offered a set of 3 styling cremes but on delayed shipping. $53 now, $48 during the show: nowhttps://www.qvc.com/WEN-by-Chaz-Dean-Fall-Seasonal-Styling-Creme-6oz-Trio.product.A347726.html?upsh=1&sc=A347726-CSWB&TZ=EST

Hope you are still doing ok in your neck of the woods! I'm glad nothing is tempting me too much in Oct - except Cuddle Duds. Even tho I'm in South Florida and only wear them a couple of times, I still love them. I spent waaaay too much in Sept so I'm glad Oct (so far) is not emptying my bank account! In Sept I got the ottomans, Julep (huge fan now!), Lock n Lock, a QF skort on clearance....the list goes on... I have one question tho - do you know if there will be another free shipping day anytime soon? I'm totally in love with Lug bags, and have my eye on the Aerial 2 in purple... but it is so expensive! I was at least hoping to save on the shipping! Thanks and stay safe!

Nicole said...

The Halston sweater is really soft and looks really expensive, I'm really happy with it! I would love it if Chaz during his TSV presentations would explain a little more about the process. How much of his product to use, how long to keep it in for, etc. That might be helpful to newcomers.

Wendy Webster said...

Yeah, no damage that we know of though the roof hasn't been inspected yet. It was exhausting and depressing. They finally gave us tv back instead of non stop coverage of the destruction. Never been thru a hurricane that lasted this long before. Yeah, Sept. has been tempting, we shall see if October is also. Usually the free s/h is during the slow season, so I wouldn't be expecting one from Oct-Dec except on a few items. They usually just push easy (evil) pay. Put it in your wish list and keep an eye on it's price. Maybe the price will come down, even better than free s/h. 9 months + after it aired is usually when it goes on clearance.

Wendy Webster said...

Thanks for the review, Nicole. Chaz explains it on some shows. Basically the amount you use is based on your hair length and in golf ball amounts. Here's the chart: https://www.qvc.com/content/insideq/wen-challenge.html Here's his instructions: https://www.wen.com/how-to-use.html Q: How do you use WEN Cleansing Conditioners?
A: If you're using the 16-oz or 6-oz sizes, rinse your hair thoroughly, then apply 12–20 pumps of WEN into your palms and rub them together (we recommend 20–40 pumps for thicker/longer hair). Apply it to your scalp and add a splash of water for a foaming effect. Since WEN has no detergents or sodium lauryl sulfate, it won't lather. Massage it thoroughly into your hair, comb it through, and leave it in for the duration of your shower for maximum cleansing and conditioning. Rinse your hair thoroughly and completely, massaging your scalp and running your fingers through to the ends. Apply 1/2–1 pump (depending on your hair length and texture) to soaking wet hair as a leave-in conditioner. For best results, we suggest that you cleanse, rinse, and repeat using half of the recommended pumps for the first cleanse and the remaining half of the pumps for the second cleanse.

Cleansing Conditioner should be applied in four sections: crown, nape, ends on the right, and ends on the left. For hair above the ears, use a minimum of 12 pumps (three pumps per section). For hair above the shoulders, use a minimum of 16 pumps (four pumps per section). For hair down to the shoulders, use a minimum of 24 pumps (six pumps per section). For hair past the shoulders, use a minimum of 32 pumps (eight pumps per section). For hair to your mid-back, use a minimum of 40 pumps (10 pumps per section). For thicker/coarser hair, increase the number of pumps in order to thoroughly cleanse your scalp and hydrate your ends.

If you're using the 32-oz size, rinse your hair thoroughly, then apply 8–16 pumps of WEN into your palms and rub them together (we recommend 16–24 pumps for thicker/longer hair). Apply it to your scalp and add a splash of water for a foaming effect. Massage it thoroughly into your hair, comb it through, and leave it in for the duration of your shower for maximum cleansing and conditioning. Rinse your hair thoroughly and completely, massaging your scalp and running your fingers through to the ends. Apply 1/4–1/2 pump (depending on your hair length and texture) to soaking wet hair as a leave-in conditioner. For best results, we suggest that you cleanse, rinse, and repeat using half of the recommended pumps for the first cleanse and the remaining half of the pumps for the second cleanse.

Cleansing Conditioner should be applied in four sections: crown, nape, ends on the right, and ends on the left. For hair above the ears, use a minimum of eight pumps (two pumps per section). For hair above the shoulders, use a minimum of 12 pumps (three pumps per section). For hair down to the shoulders, use a minimum of 16 pumps (four pumps per section). For hair past the shoulders, use a minimum of 20 pumps (five pumps per section). For hair to your mid-back, use a minimum of 24 pumps (six pumps per section). For thicker/coarser hair, increase the number of pumps in order to thoroughly cleanse your scalp and hydrate your ends.

Q: How many pumps are in each bottle?
A: The approximate number of pumps depends on the bottle size:
6 oz: 60 pumps
16 oz: 160 pumps
32 oz: 192 pumps (standard WEN), 120 pumps (Six Thirteen)

Nicole said...

WOW this is fantastic, thank you SO much for this info Wendy! I must not watch the presentations long enough to get some of this info. 20-40 pumps, that sounds tiring!!

Wendy Webster said...

You're welcome, Nicole! He usually offers an instructional DVD in his holiday gift set TSV and he suggests calling their 800# for directions. I don't use as much as he suggests, but I wash daily and he recommends washing every 3 days or so. That's why the larger sizes are better, less pumping. I only use 1-2 pumps on the gallon size and on the size down I use about 6-12 pumps mixing it with water in my long hair and I don't repeat. I apply it as soon as I get in the shower and rinsing is last. He also recommends combing it thru with a wide tooth comb, but I can't be bothered, it does help distribute it more evenly though.

Kristina said...

Wow, another D&B TSV so soon??? Probably pebble leather this time since it's fall/winter season. Most likely not something I like anyway... but I'm curious about Isaac Mizrahi! Can't believe his suede jackets are so affordable!

Kristina said...

Hello, it's me again... a bit off topic but can anyone satisfy my curiosity - with so many hosts, how come it seems like Shawn Killinger is always on air and others come and go??? That being said, I usually don't watch tv until after work which is 5pm PST.

Nicole said...

Shawn, Amy Stran and Sandra Bennett it seems are the only nighttime hosts anymore. It's okay by me, because others tend to annoy me lol, but you're right, it does seem to only be Shawn for the post part lately!

Kristina said...

I can't figure out their pattern but most recently I noticed that some items go on sale within 6 months of being on air as new!!! Even worse, the IM suede jacket with ruffle was on air about 45 days ago as brand new at featured price of around $150 and this week it is already on clearance price at $119!!!!! I kid you not! 45 days later!!!! How crazy is that!?!? I also saw a nice water resistant Dennis Basso jacket/coat for $112 which I put on wishlist. I recently got it for $56 with shipping and tax!!!!!

Kristina said...

I think Sandra is my favorite host. I like Jennifer Coffee with Isaac too. Shawn is OK for the most part. But I actually can't stand Amy Stran. I don't know but she seems so immature to me. And it annoys me every time she says "I have red....option, and navy...option". It's not an option, it's a color and no need to repeat option each time... and in overall terms it annoys me when hosts say "I have only green left". As if they owned the inventory. It should be "we", not "I"!

Wendy Webster said...

Shawn is a top seller, that's why. You'll see even more of her last quarter when they make the most sales. It seems people either can't stand her or love her and they definately make fun of her which she makes easy to do since she really pushes it with her sales techniques. I'm not a fan, but sometimes I watch just to see how far she will go to make a sale, that's entertainment. I like Sandra too, she doesn't get enough air time, guess she's too kind and not pushy enough. I think they use her as a trainer mostly now. The three I can't stand to watch more than one second are Mary, Sharon & Kerstin. Sharon outright lied about a TSV shirt not being see-through to make sales. Mary should have stayed behind the scenes. Kerstin is so in love with herself she makes me sick. I'm a fan of the old timers Dan (his voice is soothing), Antonella (too nice to get enough air time, trains mostly), Jane, Jill, Mary Beth, Leah and Pat. Use to like Rick & David but now they just sound phony to me. I think they are working David too many hours, he seems burnt out to me. That's what they did with Lisa R.

Wendy Webster said...

Must be a top selling brand. Expect more from Oct-Dec.

Wendy Webster said...

What I don't understand is why they keep stock around 2 1/2 years! They recently put a DB jacket on lunchtime special and it's a TSV from 2 1/2 yrs ago! I think if they put it on clearance really quick it's because they don't have much stock left. I get the impression if they have a ton left usually a TSV they wait forever to put it on sale. I say get it out the door quick, why take up warehouse space! And I'll never ever understand why they closed most outlets, they were always packed with customers and stuff flew off the shelves. I lived a few mins away from the one in VA Beach and I'd have to visit frequently because the good stuff would be out the door in a day or two. HSN is so much better with clearance.

rozio9 said...

I flipped around this afternoon and saw Mary selling shovels.... OMG.... You'd think she had never seen a shovel in her life before. She is too way over the top, and too infomercial for me. You are right. She should have stayed behind the scenes. And yes, I miss Dan too. I couldn't care less about what he was selling, I just liked his voice...

The only thing for October I find interesting is the bare minerals tsv, I'm guessing this will be their holiday tsv. As for the host Lisa R was always my favorite, and I adore David. I really don't find myself watching as much. Your blog is so helpful with the reviews and tsv that I can check out, and not have to watch hosts that are a little to full of themselves. Have a blessed day.

Sharon said...

LOL...never saw a shovel before :)

rozio9 said...

Heads Up!! The extended return policy is now in effect until Jan 2019!!!!!

Wendy Webster said...

I noticed that, ty Rozio. Purchases made 9/22/18-12/21/2018 can be returned until 1/31/2019

Wendy Webster said...

Yes, it will be their holiday TSV. I miss the days with Leslie & Lisa dressed in gowns for the midnight TSV presentation, it was so much fun and so exciting. Sadly, BE changed when Leslie sold it. Yes, Lisa was an awesome host, it's only a $1 a day! LOL. You can watch her host her own show on Facebook, she sells jewelry, home decor, and clothing. Yeah, too many irriating hosts that make me mute or change the channel these days. Glad to be of help.

Wendy Webster said...

LOL, that's a tricky product to sell, would be good as a test in an interview. Sell this shovel, go. LOL, kind of like the sell this pencil.

Kristina said...

Is the extended returns policy just for christmas items? Or any purchases?

Monique said...

I like Shawn, though I agree that she can very over the top sometimes. I like Sandra and LOVE Alberti so their weekly beauty show is a standby on my DVR. I watch quite a bit in the late night and early morning hours on the West coast, so I tend to see the new hosts quite a bit. Kourtney is great, but I HATE Kathy. I will immediately change the channel if she’s hosting. I hate that Sharon always hosts the gourmet holiday shows b/c I like checking out the food items, but she’s obnoxious. I like David a lot, but since I don’t like cooking, I don’t watch him very often.

Wendy said...

It's anything you order, Kristina.

Jodi said...

I know this is a little off topic of tsvs but since I've got some fellow QVC junkies on here I thought I should ask. Does anyone know why the Q isn't carrying Mario Badescu products anymore?

Lori said...

Looking forward to seeing what Dennis Basso, bare Minerals and Dooney and Burke have to offer. I have one of the faux fur throws from several years ago. My dog loves it. Hoping that the Dooney and Burke offered is on the smaller size. I just do not carry big purses.

Nicole said...

I agree Monique, I can't stand Cathy! She is so irritating and makes the strangest points about the products, she just talks aimlessly with no direction. I do like the new host Kristine Zell, I think she is really cute and personable. I personally love Shawn, I think she is so entertaining, but I agree with most of you, I really like Sandra. I think she is genuinely lovely. I can't stand Sharon, I can tell she is so fake, and when the camera goes off of her, she is such a witch. You can sometimes catch her losing her cool with guests, and I don't like that. I love Antonella, she is SO funny! Mary Beth I like, but I feel as though sometimes she loses her train of thought and is hard to follow. I also really like Jill and David, I hope they bring back their show for the holidays because I enjoy watching them together. I used to love Kerstin but her work out bit is annoying now. We get it, you're skinny and you like your stomach. And Amy Stran I also used to love, but she gets so annoying with her repetition. I don't understand how many times she needs to repeat "this is the ONLY ORDER OF THE YEAR," we get it, almost everything is the only order of the year.

Nicole said...

I didn't even notice that, that is very strange?

Wendy Webster said...

Can't wait to see Dennis' blankets this year. Yeah, many want a smaller size of D & B, don't know why lately they have all been L to XL. I'm anxious to see what BE has to offer also, but likely not to purchase they haven't tempted me much lately, use to get every one of their TSVs and A/D.

Wendy Webster said...

I thought it was odd Martha was selling that brand. What isn't she selling lately, sometimes it seems like it's the MS channel not Q. You could FB message them and ask if they will be returning to the Q soon.

Wendy Webster said...

I can't stand watching her eat food either, she's even worse during those shows and they are one of my favs to watch. I'm told they have to skip meals b4 that show. Severe hunger will make anything taste good, LOL. Wish I saw her when the camera was off or losing her cool, never seen that, not surprised at all. I mute, fast forward or change the channel when she is on. David had a retro Christmas decor show, wish they would bring that back. I haven't seen Jill & David together in forever. He's either selling Martha, cooking or TSV. LOL on the Kerstin bit, she's over the top in love with herself. Yeah, the other phrase is it's limited, yeah everything on the planet is limited so what I'm not stupid. I like it when they tell you it's the brands last TSV for the year though, that's helpful. Josie's seems a bit early this year, wondering if it will be her last or not, hoping they state that early. I don't see Alberti much cause I only watch the main channel not the other 2. It's fun to watch the new hosts' 1st days late night, Courtney C. was the most amusing she kept messing up years ago. I haven't seen Cathy, she must be on the other 2 channels? Courtney K. is smooth and not annoying. We love cooking, but there is only so much stuff you can buy and it goes on for too many hours.

Jodi said...

I totally agree about Martha. While I loved her show everything I bought from her brand at Macy's was poor quality and broke quickly.

Tanya said...

Cathy’s voice drives me crazy! I don’t know why - she seems very nice of course, but her voice for me is like nails on a chalkboard.

Shawn entertains me and when I like her picks, it’s always a winner. She was “freaking out” about a Halston denim jacket and I absolutely love it!

I also really like Jill. I think she is the only one who tries to think like a consumer and she consistently talks about size info, which I appreciate.

I love Amy’s style - is there anything she can’t rock?!? That slightly irritates me. Lol!

Nicole said...

HAHA I agree Tanya, I have been baited by Amy many times where she looks ADORABLE in something and I get it home and look horrendous! So now I'm very selective what I order from her shows, she just has that body that everything looks good on!

And I loved that Halston denim jacket, so I'm so happy to hear it is a true winner in real life!

Anxious for the Josie TSV in November!!!

Sharon said...

Looking forward to the Josie Maran...last year was so good. It was her anniversary and she had 3 super sizes for around $71. That won't happen again I'm sure but there will be other goodies and One Day Onlys. I really enjoyed my Muk Luk purchase last year...the cabin socks. I wore them out, though. I'm not sure if it was me (I tend to shuffle and not pick up my feet) or the quality. But they were lined with super soft material that didn't over heat my feet. Just kept them warm and cozy. I may need to check out the Dennis Brasso Fur Throw! Thanks for that idea... :)

Omg, those fabulous VC shoes are finally on sale!!! $40 off!!! A342877

I am always tempted to write in “Amy Stran” as the reason for my return!

I order a lot (obviously!) but the Halston denim trench is one of the best purchases I have ever made! A311562 in case anyone is interested. Very chic and nicely made.

I see they put up a bunch of TSVs and Big Deals for the next few days up, and they have the Ring Security System as a Big Deal. I'm really interested in the security system, but I don't know if they will have a better deal October 24th, or this Big Deal took over for the TSV they were having. Or maybe it's going to be just a doorbell at the end of the month? Decisions, decisions.

Nicole said...

Hahahahahaha that is hilarious!!

And that is great to know, thank you for sharing!!

Wendy Webster said...

Check around other stores, see if Costco has a better price on Ring. I find their Big Deals aren't such a big deal, LOL. Odds are it will be a TSV soon which is usually a better price. Would they dare have it on big deal and then right after a TSV at a lower price?! Could be the floodlight camera or the doorbell instead. You also have to look at how many pieces are included and what your needs are. It is a new product so I wouldn't expect a major discount. We'll be buying one next spring, waiting for our contract to run out.

Wendy Webster said...

ty, Amy :)

Wendy Webster said...

You'll love his throws, Sharon! Me 2, anxious to see what she will be offering. Thanks for the ML review.

Wendy Webster said...

Fancy! So did you buy 'em?

Wendy Webster said...

Me 2, Jenna :)

Wendy Webster said...

What a bummer, Jodi :( I only bought a silpat. Is she no longer at Macy's?

Wendy Webster said...

LOL, Tanya :) Nicole, yeah I prefer when they show models of different sizes. It really looks different on different sizes and heights. They use to read the measurements of every single garmet many years ago and talk about if it's fitted or loose fit, etc. I wish management would get on them about that again. I don't want to have to search online for it. HSN use to have a calculator that you entered your measurements and it would tell you which size to buy.

Kami said...

I think it’s funny how different we view the hosts. I used to work overnights on my computer at home. So I saw Shawn and Amy both from the beginning. Shawn has gotten a bit over the top. I can take that. It’s her hair from Show to show that provides me and my Mom a lot of laughs. I was shocked to hear so many don’t like Amy Stran. I think she is adorable and by far has the best style of any host ever. I know she presents differently but I like that she has her own style. And I would love it if I had the face and body type to wear my hair that short. Great hair. And I’m fat with a round face so I’ll stick with the bob I’ve worn since high school. LOL I like all 3 of the new overnight hosts. I am a Texan so I’m glad to see they didn’t put Mary Nelson in voice classes. I like the other Mary also. I Love Leah and doesn’t she look fantastic! I initially thought she had a gastric sleeve but someone asked her point blank on FB and she said no. I’d like to think if it was that surgery she would share her experience, so I believe her. When I started QVC 20 years ago I really loved Jill. But I have noticed as her hubby has gotten wealthier she has become very snobby. Especially during the Jai jewelry shows (wearing all her own John Hardy jewelry from hubby) and her Christmas show where she brought Byer etc. to the Q. But then I’ve noticed the same thing with Shawn, The more money she makes the more Gili, Barefoot Dreams etc we see on Monday nights. If it doesn’t cost big bucks she’s above it. Sharon ugh! I realize completely that the Logo shows and prices have gone way over the top, even with Amy hosting. But that Saturday show that Sharon hosts I now DVR and forward through it. Ugh! I love Jen Coffey too. I think having Beauty IQ and Q2 has us not seeing some of our hosts very much. Nancy I think is pretty exclusively over there. And I think Antoinelle, Jayne and Pat spend a good bit of time over there as well. I rarely see Mary Beth so I assume she’s over there also. I try to look past Kerstin and her rock hard, to die for body and she knows it. I really liked her when she started and I love Sat. Morning Q when David sings to her in the opening. And she’s got really good hair. Everybody looks good in a bob.

I was perusing Lisa Robertson’s website and she was modeling a pretty tunic. In the description she says that the medium fit her perfect and she was a solid size 8. I immediately had flashbacks of PM Style when she would say she was in a double 00 or xxs. Wow how things change. But she now employs two people so apparently all that stuff she has sells. It’s way overpriced, but she has some pretty things.

Well I have exhausted this subject. Everybody have a nice weekend.

Jodi said...

Ummm I think she is. I've sort of stopped shopping at Macy's since I became a frequent QVC shopper. I love the TSVs!

Enjoy your blog. Any idea when the T3 will have a TSV I find the curling iron that you can change interesting. They are pricey wonder if they are worth the money. Have you ever tried any of their products? Thanks

Wendy Webster said...

Yes, I highly recommend the T3 hairdryers, I've used it for years. I use it weekly to dry four dogs and it saves time and it's less noisy. They usually have a TSV before Christmas. It's not on the list through November 11th, keep an eye on the November list as it is updated on Mondays. Costco has a good price on them also. The styling iron is currently $69.99 and the hair dryer is $99.99 and the hot rollers are $79.99. https://www.costco.com/CatalogSearch?dept=All&keyword=t3

Nicole said...

Kami, I agree with your comments! I do think it's nice that Shawn really puts her style and input into her shows though, I don't think she enjoys selling things she genuinely doesn't like. I love Jen Coffey too, I always forget about her, but I love her and Isaac. I also totally forgot about my 2 all-time favorites, Jane Tracey and Carolyn Gracie! I adore watching both of them, they always describe the products in such great detail, and Carolyn especially ALWAYS goes over sizing. I love that. I agree Wendy, I constantly leave feedback on QVC.com about the hosts not going over sizing. It drives me nuts. It would take 5-8 seconds of the presentation to ask the girls what size they have on. I do like Amy Stran and her style, but I just can't with her repetition. But I agree, she is adorable!

Nicole said...

I agree, T3 is the best!

Nicole said...

Thanks for the feedback Wendy!! I appreciate it! I'm going to look around a bit as you suggested, I agree, their Big Deals are not so great!

Jodi said...

If you buy T3 at Costco be sure to watch the sales. T3 items are often on coupon and are free shipping. I bought a straightener about a month ago for 49.99 after 10 off.

Tanya said...

Looks like October 8th (fashion day) is a Denim and Co TSV. I’m intrigued by the D & Co Studio line so hoping that is the TSV!

Jenna said...

I noticed Josies super size sugar scrub is back but only in juicy apple scent, item # A283974. But the description for the ingredients tab shows some new scents: Sweet cranberry, Vanilla fig, and Winter gardenia. I was wondering if anyone has tried those scents from her line before? Maybe in body butters or cleaners? I'm anxious for her TSV next month and for these new holiday scents!

Wendy Webster said...

Vanilla Fig is a customer favorite, been around a long time. I like it a lot, but my favorites tend to be her seasonals that she unfortunately rarely repeats. Beware of old stock, her ODO is almost 2 years old. I'd stick with items that are listed as "new". Pull up the reviews showing the oldest 1st and check the date.

Wendy Webster said...

Yeah, they updated it to Denim & Co. as the TSV.

Wendy Webster said...

Yeah, everyone is saying it looks like a snake in the pic, LOL. Not exciting for a TSV.

Wendy Webster said...

Good tip, Jodi, I sometimes forget that. Thanks for the reviews Nicole and Artemis. :) Don't you wish hairdressers would use them! I get annoyed at how long they take to dry my hair, seems so unprofessional not to invest in a good dryer. Less time drying = more customers = more $!

Wendy Webster said...

yw, Nicole. It's currently $239 at Costco with Base Station, Keypad, Range Extender, 1 Motion Detector, SIX Contact Sensors. More contact sensors cost $70 for a 4 pack ($17.50 each) and Motion Detectors cost $50 for 2 ($25 each). Ring.com has it for $199 with 1 sensor and 1 detector. Extra sensor is $20 and detector $30. Q's is $190 with TWO sensors & 1 detector. Sensors needed for front door, back door, garage door, door to garage, crawl space door and any windows you are worried about. Motion detectors are needed for each main area on the lower level, minimum 2. So Q's offer is worth $219 (save $29), Costco's is worth $299 (save $60), so it depends how many sensors & detectors you need. Go with Costco if you need lots of sensors and buy extra sensors (save $10) & detectors (save $10) at Costco.

Nicole said...

Thank you for adding the One Day Only's, I don't understand why QVC makes them SO hard to find in one place on their website?? So thank you!!

Wendy Webster said...

yw, I wasn't sure if anyone wanted them. I'm not a fan of the people who run their website. I find typos, search issues and dead links too often.

Monique said...

I’m glad I’m not the only one who finds Cathy’s voice so irritating. Lol. I also agree with those who said Amy Stran makes every clothing item look great. Given that I’m plus size, I really appreciate when the items are shown on a large variety of sizes. I’m also a redhead, so having a couple models with my hair color is also helpful.

Yeah, I don't recommend buying anything at the QVC Price, wait for featured price. Normally there would be more than just 2 scents to chose from, all the inventory may have not arrived yet. You have to check several times a day during her shows to find the bargains. ty 4 sharing, Amy.

Yes, I'm going with Costco! You're right, when I broke it down, it made more sense, since the sensors are an additional $20 each, it just made more sense.

Nicole said...

Wendy I agree with you about hairdressers! You'd think if you were using something all day, every day, you would invest in a really good dryer. It's interesting to me that (at least by me) I don't see anyone using the Dyson hairdryer, I wonder if it's the price or it just doesn't work as well.

I have the T3 compact that folds in half with the diffuser attachment since I have curly hair. It is FABULOUS. I love the compact size for travel b/c my hair will not stand a hotel dryer. The only thing I’ve had to replace after 2+ years is the diffuser attachment b/c I dropped it and broke a piece off that was vital to it snapping onto the end of the dryer. A small price to pay for a fantastic dryer. I agree with others - worth every penny!

I totally will let ya know! It's backordered so I'll get in about 2 weeks. I love that it comes with 12 rollers. I have a lot of hair and most sets can't do it all in one shot. I also ordered PTR eye patches which are my weakness. I'm always browsing Costcos beauty section for PTR.

Jodi, I gave in and bought one too. The price is just too good especially with extra rollers and if I don't like it, I'll just return to the store. I love eye patches, why are they so darn expensive :( Haven't tried theirs, but I love GlamGlows.

Jodi said...

Now I'm totally excited to see your review!
I haven't tried glamglow s eye patches but do like their masks. The price of eye patches are totally nuts. Plus they they are never on sale except for maybe the days when ulta or Sephora has a 20% off coupon. At least Costcos price is 28 instead of 52. They do make your undereyes look amazing but I love them for the cooling soothing feeling under your eyes. It's unlike anything I have ever tried. Great for days when I have eye strain headaches. I tell myself this to justify the price lol.

Monica said...

I hope her sugar scrub goes on sale soon, $44 plus s+h and tax seems pricey to me.

I love fall fashion! $99 for these is a steal! - Kristina

I have several leather/suede jackets which I got on sale for $120-160 max. No way am I paying over $200 for a single piece of clothing. But even if IM jacket was real leather for $70, in this case i actually like GILI more.

Does anyone happen to know who do they copy the look after?? - Kristina

They showed in Morning Q Live a sneak peak of the Cuddl Duds TSV. It is a cardigan, with a shawl color, and one button closure it looked like. The model who had it on was wearing a light colored plaid with the grey Earth TSV. It looked cute, but long.

I just looked at all the choices. It does look cute. I don't think it looks like a robe. However, since it's fleece, I think it looks more casual. I already have two CD wraps from last two years which I barely wear because i also got bunch of Barefoot Dreams items so I'll pass. Need to stop compulsive shopping!!!!! Baby steps! Lol - Kristina

Ps. Those Earth boots I mentioned above have been wonderful tho. Wore them for 9 hours today at work and no blister or anything. And got compliments from other ladies!

Olivia said...

I'm interested in the Cuddl Duds TSV but unsure about their sizing. Do they run true to size or are they slightly smaller/larger? I usually wear size Medium for Isaac Mizrahi and Denim&Co. Thanks!

Unknown said...

I'd say they run slightly larger. I wear small in Isaac and Cuddle Duds and many other brands on Q. But realistically I know I'm size medium in real life ;) so if you buy medium in IM, you should be fine with medium in CD. - Kristina

Amy said...

I owned 2 Cuddl Duds fleecewear (one I purchased, the other given to me as a gift). Unfortunately they started to pill and shed pretty bad after a few uses, then once I washed them...oh boy did they really pill and shed even more! I was so disappointed since they are very soft and comfy but not worth it since I only got a couple good uses out of it. Originally I thought it was because I washed it too often but with my second one I didn't wash it until after 6 uses and I still had issues with the piling. The TSV does look lovely but I won't be purchasing, I wish it was terry knit instead of fleece!

I was on the fence about it also, because of the length it looked too long for me. But they showed a blogger on instagram wearing it in the buffalo plaid, and it was SO cute. You're right, it wasn't until after Leslie sold BE to Shisheido (sp?) that they started w/liquid foundations and foundation w/talc.

I'm gonna pass on this one as I stocked up the last time they sold deluxe size foundation and mineral veil. They never include my color (fairly medium/matte) in kits and I have glosses and brushes for years!

The PTR TSV is up. Two 3.35 ounce retinols for 114. A350987

That IG pic sold me too! I bought it. We shall see if I look ridiculous in it. I’m 5’5” so sometimes things can look matronly on me if it’s too long. And Amy Stran looked so cute in it. I want to yell at her for wearing everything so well but I realize no one hears me when I am yelling at the tv. (My husband can tell at the TV when sports are on so I have my version!)

Sat's Halo TSV:

HALO Bolt AC/DC Wireless Charge Portable Power Car Jump Start
$99.96 + free s/h, on 6 EZ Pay
Choose your color: gold, rose gold, white marble, silver graphite, black graphite, or green camo

This is a good price!

I bought the 5 qt tilt-back model several years ago for ~$320 + ~$20 for shipping (but the rebate basically offset that). Mine came w/flex edge beater (when it was new) and glass bowl, but I had to buy the pouring shield separately (~$20). I bought a cover and an extra stainless steel bowl (from Target) so I can have multiple batches of cookies going at once.

Yeah, Sharon I happened to be tuning in and saw it. You just reminded me though, I ordered it and it hasn't shipped. Oh I see, it's an advanced order shipping at the end of the month. She needs to offer a set of the hand creams more often! If anyone missed out they are still on sale. I think a lot of people missed this show. Normally she shows them on a TSV day so they sail out the door quicker. Don't know why she's showing stuff early, strange.

Wendy Webster said...

Wonderful gift, she'll be thrilled.

Jenna said...

I missed the show! Thanks Sharon for posting, I have her peppermint bark hand cream and sweet citrus but this set is all new scents, I get migraines with strong scents so I'm hoping these smell good and light. I wonder how long the sale price will last though?

I ended up purchasing the Corky’s turkey breast, as well as the 3 St. Clair’s side dishes for our Thanksgiving dinner. I don’t enjoy cooking, so the idea of throwing everything into the oven for about an hour sounds heavenly. Hoping it all tastes as good as it looked on TV. We’ve had good luck with Corky’s items in the past, but have not tried anything from St. Clair’s before.

I am interested to hear your review Tanya, I went to order the buffalo plaid, but it was all sold out by the time I checked, so I'll be interested to see how you like it and if I should keep an eye out!

If I come home with one more throw blanket, I think my husband is going to throw me out of the house LOL I looooove them, but I had to skip DB's TSV this year. Maybe next year I can purge some old ones and get one!

Wendy Webster said...

Sounds like a wonderful Thanksgiving, Monique! Haven't tried either, but they have good reviews.

Wendy Webster said...

If you want it buy it now Jenna. The price will change soon if it hasn't already. Yum, peppermint bark. I find all her scents are light and don't last long, so I'm sure you'll enjoy them.

They look nice but not enough to make me buy them. Why? Because I just got MF Editor boots in olive/taupe for $10 less. And I got 3 pairs of MF boots last year... so yeah, I think that's way too many as it is. - Kristina

Tanya said...

Thanks for posting the Isaac TSV. I love cashmere but I’m getting tired of the peplum!

Lynn said...

It's pretty but I already have several cashmere sweaters and peplum tops and I can't justify the price tag.

Tanya said...

I bought a few Jcrew Factory cashmere sweaters and am so impressed with them. $78!

yw, Tanya!

Wendy Webster said...

Yeah Artemis, you can't be part of our club unless you buy Barefoot Dreams & Josie Maran, LOL. What are your favorite Perlier scents?

Unknown said...

Isaac TSV - cashmere, peplum, and a sweater. That's an easy no for me. I thought we were done with peplum already... guess not. - Kristina

Does anyone own one of the blanket sweatshirts that was on Shark Tank? They look so cozy (I live in the North and am always freezing), but I was wondering about how they wash, etc. Any feedback would be much appreciated!

All 122(!) of today's LTS are Isaac. Unfortunately for me, the only item I have interest in isn't available in my size.

I heard Jane at the end of their 2-hour show at 6 pm, say that there had been 6,400 ordered for the DAY!! I have never ever heard a TSV sell so little, especially for Isaac. I was shocked. When he was on with Shawn at 9, you could tell he just wanted to go home, what a disappointment for all that work, only to sell a couple thousand pieces. I guess no one else liked the silhouette either. That sweater will be on clearance really soon I bet.

Yay! I love those Flexibelle jeans. They are so cute! I have them in dark indigo and I will be picking up the black! They are not stiff and have a just the right amount of stretch. They are very true to size but are a touch long. I am 5'5" and they are about an inch too long in the regular inseam if I am wearing flats. I highly recommend them if anyone is in the market for new jeans.

Tanya said...

That frickin Amy Stran looked so cute in it! It looked much better when Jacquie (the model) sized up one - the peplum looked less pronounced and more like a normal sweater!

Monique said...

I’m disappointed the TSV is bootcut since I’m not a fan of that cut - I prefer either straight leg or more often jegging or skinny. I just received my first pair of flexibelle jeans in the mail, but need to exchange for a smaller size. I agree that the amount of stretch makes them so incredibly comfortable though!
