This is a review of a monthly cosmetic subscription box from Macy's. This month the theme is Gym Bag Beauty. Each month it's $15 including shipping and it includes a $5 or $10 coupon. Unlike the competition, there is no beauty questionnaire, everyone gets the same products. The retail value of this month's box is $46.74 not including the $10 coupon and the gym bag. Macy's sent the following products:

I've purchased Dr. Bronner's Soap before and enjoyed it, it is a bit on the pricey side though a little goes a long way. It's made with organic fair trade ingredients. The peppermint scent is great for a morning shower to wake you up. My favorite scent is lavender and I also like the bar soap version. I'm not a fan of Clinique's Lip Balm, you really have to rub it on over and over and it shows just a slight hint of color. It feels only temporarily moisturizing. The ingredients include wax and vegetable oil, ah no thank you. Not to mention the high price of $18.50, eek. I forgot to try the Donna Karan Deodorant, I look forward to giving it a try tonight. Yet another crazy expensive product. It has a really nice, clean scent and I like the soft material used for its container. My VW Beetle had that material around the door handles, trim, etc, it's really soft. The ingredients aren't healthy though. Hubby grabbed the Jimmy Choo perfume as soon as a laid it out on the table to photograph. He likes it and I do too. The top notes are black pepper, clary sage, and bergamot. Middle notes are cypress, leather, and amber. Bottom notes are sandalwood, vetiver and vanilla bean. It's pricey coming in at $90 for the large bottle and $70 for the smaller bottle. Hubby's favorite perfume is Paco Rabbane. The Jimmy Choo Fever perfume isn't my cup of tea. Its top note is black plum nectar, middle note is heliotrope and its bottom note is tonka bean. It doesn't have lasting power and it's not very strong even shortly after applying. I really don't have a use for Yuni shower sheets so I will save it for perhaps a time when our power is out and we don't have hot water. Hopefully, not anytime soon, but it's inevitable between hurricanes and rare snow storms. The Sunday Riley Lactic Acid treatment is supposed to brighten and exfoliate your skin reducing hyperpigmentation and plump fine lines. I have found in the past any cosmetic that reduces hyperpigmentation has to be used at least 30 days to work and as soon as you stop using the product the hyperpigmentation returns. This sample is too small to see results.
