September

August is almost here, another month of severe summer heat to go. August and January are my least favorite months of the year. How about you? So tell us by commenting below which TSVs you purchased in July. Inquiring minds want to know! I only purchased the set of Harry Slatkin candles, but they won't ship until September so I may change my mind by then and cancel. Which TSV brands are you most excited for in August? The Harry & David popcorn is delicious, you may want to get on their email list for coupons and check out their prices on their website, sometimes it's cheaper directly from them. They offer 15% off just for signing up for emails. Also, check out retailmenot.com for recent coupons and be sure to get 6% cash back from Mr. Rebates. I also recommend the Roomba vacuum, be sure to check out my reviewI'd love to have the one that washes the floor, Scooba, does anyone have one? It's not in my budget, but I'd love to hear your review. I don't recommend Vitamix, there is a part that has to be replaced every year or so. Replaced that part only for it to start spitting out oil, customer service was horrible and rude. Plus, you have to babysit it and use the tamper to tap down the ingredients. I recommend Blendtec instead. Just turn it on and it blends perfectly without any assistance. They are expensive blenders, but if you make smoothies daily, it saves money in the long run. I'm looking forward to seeing what Josie Maran and Bethlehem Lights have to offer.

Thanks go out to Amy, Happy Mami, Laurie, Lynn, Megan, Malika, Sari, Tammy and Tanya for helping find the preorder item numbers! I didn't receive any donations this month and I haven't even made the minimum to receive an advertising check yet my July TSV list has already been viewed over 47,000 times. If I received a donation of just $1 from a small fraction of those viewing my blog, image how motivating that would be for me to continue. If you would like to help this blog continue to provide the TSV preorder information, please show your support by clicking on the donate button to send a donation via PayPal:  Your support would be greatly appreciated! If you can't help that way, please consider using one of my referral or affiliate links below. I only received two referral credits and no affiliate money this month. They are all products that I highly recommend and use. Also, you can show your support by clicking on the advertising, I'm down 33% compared to last year.  I spent some money on advertising via Facebook but didn't have much luck getting more views, so if you would kindly share a link to this blog with friends it would help so much. Due to the lack of support lately, I'm feeling very discouraged from continuing to put in so much of my time to update the TSV lists. Thank you to those who have been supportive.

You are welcome to share a link to this blog post, but please be kind & respectful and do not copy my post and post it elsewhere. I spend countless hours searching for preorder numbers, so credit is due.

    1. The link is now posted, fall booties. A bit hot for this time of year! I wouldn't be able to wear them here for 3 months or more!

    2. Thanks for posting the link. I was hoping for a something a little less casual. I live up North and with the crazy weather, it's too hot to wear them here too!

    1. Looking forward to Josie's TSV also. Should be interesting to see what Tarte offers, it's been SO long!

  7. The Halston TSV will be a long cardigan. (Jane said that when she talked about her upcoming show.)

  8. Excited for the Isaac TSV (would love it to be pima cotton), Temptations, Josie, Sketchers, Laura Geller, and In the kitchen with Mary. Also excited for the Christmas day on the 25th! (So my Qcard will be hurting by the end of this month, haha!) In July I ordered the CIJ juniors deal and the gift bags, and just ordered David's new cookbook (coming in December) and some biscotti. But the only thing I got now was the gift bags, everything else is coming later this month (the biscotti) or in December.

Oh, and I was looking at your September list, and I can't believe they are having the Instant Pot Viva as a TSV so soon after promoting it so much as a new item on David's shows! I thought a lot of people had bought it already!

    1. I also bought David’s cookbook, I’m looking forward to seeing his new recipes! And I thought the same thing about the Instant Pot!! I was going to buy one, but now I feel like I should wait??

      Delete
    2. Right?! I would wait if I were you, they kept saying new things were coming with the instant pot, so that's probably what they were talking about. Have you seen the recipes he's shown on the presentations?

      Delete
    3. You’re probably right, I think it’s worth it to wait and see what the deal is. I have been watching the presentations, some recipes appeal to me, and some don’t, but I really like david and for $20 I’m excited to see what recipes he includes that he hasn’t shown on the presentations yet!

    4. Yeah, I love Christmas in July, but hate having to wait till Sept for shipping.

  9. WOW! The Halston cardigan TSV is very pricey!!!! $53.94 PLUS $3.00 shipping??!??!

    1. I was thinking that too! I looked up the last Halston TSV cardigan and it was $60 and 5 EP. Seems like it shouldn be $40 IMO.

      Delete
    2. Yeah, it looks nice but I dont like the tail in the back. Plus I already invested in Barefoot Dreams on sale. How many cardigans does a person need??? Especially in California.... - Kristina

      Delete
    3. I know, I’m shocked by the price! I really thought it would have been around $45.

      Delete
    4. All of today's LTS are Halston ...
I noticed this also happened on recent LoGo and Graver TSV days. So I wonder if all of Monday's LTS will be Isaac?

      Delete
    5. LTS? I find most of their clothing pricey on the Q. Due to sizing, prices and return s/h I rarely buy clothing from them. I agree, not fond of the curve on the back, think it would be nicer with a straight hem, but I like it.

      Delete
    6. LTS I'm assuming means lunch time specials? And i'm sure it will be all Isaacs stuff when it's his tsv

      Delete
    7. LTS = Lunch Time Special. I noticed this, too! Today was crazy - they had two pages of Halston items on sale! But I did notice that some of those discounts aren't that significant. And more times than not you get someone's returns so I stopped buying those, unless there is something I really want.

But yes it would be interesting to see what they have on sale for Isaac.

      Delete
    8. The previous reply was from me :) - Kristina... I also wanted to add that I actually do like this Halston cardigan, in more than one color, in fact. But if I were to buy every single item I like, I'd be spending 3 times what I'm already spending! Not to mention, I also need the time to wear what I buy! I got Laurie Felt white stripped duster and haven't even worn it once yet! So I'm trying to limit myself to buying what I consider a real deal and something that would get a lot of wear. As they like to say it, price per wear.

  10. I'm happy to report that I made ZERO purchases in July ...partially because i was busy visiting friends and family in Europe.... BUT... as soon as I came back, I spent close to $700 during the pre-season days!!!! Oops... couldn't resist the Barefoot Dreams prices on a pullover and a short sleeve cardigan, had to have Lorie Felt's TSV jeans, Isaac's pima cotton tops and ridiculously vibrant plum sweater of his, and of course the booties TSV in olive!!! And well, I also got the ODO suitcase the carry on size by tenfold (?) In grey and rose with flowers!!! Needless to say, I think I'm done shopping.... sigh..... - Kristina

    1. Hahah well good for you for refraining in July!!

      Delete
    2. Oh, how exciting! What part of Europe?

      Delete
    3. Thanks :) I visited my friends and family in Poland - not the most exciting country in Europe but way more affordable! I spent about $20/piece of clothing vs $50-60 on QVC! ;) I also visited Croatia and spent a weekend in London - that city is stunning! Although the river is trashed. But I highly recommend visiting. I was able to book Travelodge within a 20 min walk from the Tower Bridge for $110/night! Dining prices are comparable to those in the USA. And usually you are not expected to tip them. One place had a 12.5% tip included in the price. I paid everywhere with a credit card so it was very convenient - no need to exchange your money. Croatia was beautiful in terms of clear blue waters and mountain views but not much of architecture to look at. - Kristina

      Delete
    4. Kristina, I think I read about that Travelodge in a guidebook a while back! What did you think of it?

      Delete
    5. Sounds like a blast! When I was in London it fell on a bank holiday and I couldn't go to Harrod's and it was at the end of my two week trip and I caught a cold from my roommate. :( The fish & chips are to die for there.

      Delete
    6. Megan, it was a decent hotel. They had an electric kettle with instant coffee packets and tea bags, and cups in the room. They even had an iron with an ironing board! There was no hairdryer but they put a handout stating they can provide one if needed. The inside was pretty dated and there was no view from window - all of the 7 floors faced a tiny courtyard with all three walls of Windows to the rooms and one plain wall. So you had to cover the Windows at all time if you didn't want people looking into your room but it was a minor inconvenience considering the price. No AC but they had a fan in the room. I'd definitely book this hotel again. - Kristina

      Delete
    7. Wendy, yep I didn't have time for too much shopping either but perhaps it's a good thing :) I got lucky with the weather but I hear ya. I've been delaying my visit to the UK because I don't want to spend my vacation in the rain and cold! But London is definitely a must-see!!! - Kristina

    1. I haven't worn a turtleneck since I lived in MD, too hot. That's pretty!

    2. During the "polar vortex" several winters ago, my colleagues Eleanor and Nancy and I had a contest to see who could wear turtlenecks the most consecutive workdays!

      Delete
  12. Definitely have to order that Isaac TSV, I like that scallop hem and it just looks really nice! And it's not too pricey either for a turtleneck sweater. I usually only shop Isaac because his quality of clothes are top notch in my opinion.

    1. Let us know what you think when it arrives, Amy. Which color are you going to pick?

      Delete
    2. I bought the t-neck in heather grey. I'll review it once it arrives.

And yes, all 144 (!) of today's LTS are Isaac. But I restrained myself, which is pretty easy to do when your size/color is sold out.

      Delete
    3. I got the Vivid Plum and Black, as soon as I get them I'll share my thoughts with you all!

      Delete
    4. Lynn, I got IM suede blazer in both colors since it was only $41!!! Hopefully it fits. Numeric sizes can be tricky. BTW, did you all see the weekly special? Barefoot Dreams pants for $69!!!! I got 2 pairs!

      Delete
    5. I hear you about numeric vs. lettered sizing. I straddle size 12 (medium) and 14 (large) depending on brand, cut, and fit. So I really pay close attention to whether the description says it's fitted, semi-fitted, or relaxed fit.

      Delete
    6. I ordered the BFD pants also, I had the hardest time picking a color, so I finally just settled on black!

      Delete
    7. I think black is a perfect choice if you are getting just one. I got coco when they were at a lower price and love them so much, i had to order two more - got black and carbon since I also have a carbon hoodie.

I can't believe all the comments on FB about these pants costing too much at $70 and comparing them to those they saw at Target!

      Delete
    8. OH, me too! If you want to buy $15 Target leggings, go ahead, these are a completely different product, and if any of those people on Facebook felt the fabric, they would understand the cost difference!

      Delete
    9. The Isaac t-neck TSV arrived yesterday. It supposedly shipped on the 15th, so it spent a week in transit.

I ordered the heather grey in medium. It was a bit loose (but not baggy). The bracelet-length sleeves have a slight bell shape to them. The fabric felt thicker than a typical t-neck, so I will probably not need to layer this under a cardigan.

      Delete
    10. Not to mention that yoga pants at Lululemon run into triple digits.

My main complaint about these in general is the lack of pockets. When I'm taking my daily constitutional around the neighborhood, I need somewhere to put my keys!

  15. I'm surprised they are doing a qvc2 big deal Dooney bag, considering they have a Dooney TSV coming up next month. But I'm guessing as usual it won't be anything special. The Libby hobo in pebble leather??? Doesn't look that nice plus it's too small, for me, anyway. I got this bag in Florentine and loved the look of it but it was too small, no outside pockets and I figured it wasn't worth the price.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yeah, they seem to be doing the same type of bag each TSV lately. Seems like they are due for a print TSV in a medium size.

    2. Wow. Finally a REAL TSV - $200 for lamb leather in the bag this size??? Sounds like a steal! Fortunately, or unfortunately, for me, I am not a fan of lamb leather, so I won't be buying. Believe it or not, it's been almost a year since I bought (and kept!) My last handbag. I've been spending all my $$$ on clothes lately. And some shoes.... :) - Kristina

      Delete
    3. Well, Vince Camuto got me in the end. I ended up purchasing the Tuli crossbody bag in Vamp. I absolutely fell in love with the unique purple shade and that’s really saying something for me - I only ever buy black handbags, especially when buying designer. I’m hoping the purple shade in person is similar to what translated on my TV b/c it looks gorgeous.

      Delete
    4. Monique,I loved those purses in vamp as well!!! Hoping to get one when they go on sale. But I did purchase the TSV in beige after all.... can't beat the value! I may return it because I'm not too crazy about the lamb leather but at least I'll have a chance to decide. I did like the size, the zipper, and the outside pocket, and the color! So, will keep you posted. - Kristina

      Delete
    5. Monique, I almost ordered that bag too in the exact same color, it was beyond gorgeous!! Can you review it when it arrives to you, I am so close to ordering, but curious what the color will be in person. Thanks!

      Delete
    6. Well, I'm happy to report the VC TSV bag will be going back! I just received it in beige. First off, wasn't too crazy about the color but thought perhaps i could get used to it, together with the odd look of the lamb leather grain, which looks very artificial almost man-made kind of. But then the straps totally killed it for me - if that's even an expression?? :) they are thin and flat, so very uncomfortable to hold! The positives - I liked the size, zipper closure, and the outside pocket..... some reviews also complained about the straps. Sadly, I will be returning as it's not worth $200 for me. I guess I'll go shopping in my closet instead :) - Kristina

      Delete
    7. Thanks for the review Kristina!! I alllmost bought that bag in that color, so I'm glad that your review validated my non-purchase, but I'm sorry to hear you weren't impressed with the bag overall!

    1. I have all copper chef pans, and I find the wood or plastic utensils can scratch the pans. I also have recently gotten rid of all my plastic utensils after I noticed that after a while, they start to peel, and the black plastic can get in the food. The silicone are resilient, they never crack or peel, and don’t get stained at all. I reach for those more than any other tool :)

      Delete
    2. Yes, those plastic utensils burn :( We use only stainless steel pans so we love IKEAs stainless utensils. We also like Exoglass Spatulas. Wood is nice, but you can put 'em in the dishwasher to sanitize them. I didn't realize the TSV was silicone, interesting. Haven't had time to watch in the Kitchen with David lately, so I've missed the presentations and the new products.

  23. A bit disappointed with Josies tsv, I was hoping it would be something new but I don't like the mascara and the face butter comes with a huge air bubble in it. I just ordered the super size Argan oil so I don't need anymore of that. Oh well, I hope her One day onlys are better!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah, it is a disappointing TSV full of repeats. She explained they don't fill the containers to the top for shipping purposes since it expands in the heat. They overfill them on air for selling purposes. Just tap the jar on a table to get the product to settle. I find her best deals are sold closer to Christmas.

  24. The JM tsv is similar to item A298812, the only thing different is the face butter. Won't be purchasing this time.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yep, that's a previous TSV I was on A/D for so those that went on A/D have those products and don't need more. I have the face butter from amother TSV. We want new products! So disappointing.

      Delete
  25. SOOO underwhelmed by Josie's TSV. She has SO many new products, why does she keep giving us the exact same products over and over again?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I know, I'm shocked at her choices. I kept reading "Today's Special Value" in disbelief thinking it must be an error. Her fans more than likely already have those products, we want new and exclusive like other cosmetic brands who do TSVs! Someone needs to knock some sense into her. A previous TSV had the same products minus the face butter.

    2. You’re so right, Wendy! It almost always introduces or introduces new products in their TSVs, I don’t understand Josie’s buyers and why they keep doing the same things. I hope you’re right and closer to Christmas her deals will be better.

  26. I have a mini size of Josie's oil that I'm enjoying. I thought I should get her supersize bottle this month, but I don't know if I should also get the TSV. Is the face butter worth it? I've wanted to try Milk, but I don't have much use for the mascara.

    1. The face butter is really nice. I've bought it twice so far. It's very moisturizing, so if you are on the oily side it might not be for you or perhaps you'll only need it in the dry winter. The milk sinks in to the skin more than the butter. The butter is thicker like the body butter. You could sell, trade or gift the mascara, it's a small part of the TSV.

  27. A bit new, I was hoping for a different Josie TSV. Will there be other deals from her to look for that day? I don't really need a set.

    1. Yes, she will have some other deals that will show up once she's on air @ QVC.com. Seach "Josie Maran" then select "new". The best deals are when her last TSV of the year shows up. The one day only (ODO) offers are TSV priced, so if you don't like the TSV odds are you will enjoy one of the ODOs. During that time check QVC.com each day she's on because they add new items each day she's on air.

  28. Wow I too am quite dissapointed in Josie’s TSV. I thought it might have been her new vibrancy concealer with matching foundation : wishful thinking! Well hopefully she’ll have some good ODOs! But since I am not buying this TSV (I have 2 unopened jars of face butter and a jumbo milk waiting) at least I can save money for the WEN TSV Sept 1st! 😁 thanks so much Wendy for posting as soon as you found out! I’ve been watching your page like a hawk the last few days in waiting.

    1. I was hoping for vibrancy also, but knew from the past she just doesn't offer new products in the TSV :( You're welcome! Credit goes to Stephanie for finding this TSV.

  29. Thank you for posting! I picked up the Earth Origin booties, the Peter Thomas Roth set and the Bose speaker. I have so much Josie Maran to use up. I am trying not to be tempted by the scents that the face cream comes in!

    1. You're welcome, Mandy :) How do you like the PTR set? Does the speaker work well? I'm curious about that one. I have the vanilla one, it smells good.

  30. As others have said, the Josie TSV is disappointing. I’m late to the body butter game, but I’m now loving it, so I would have liked to see some of that in the TSV. I haven’t tried the face butter, but I think the Milk broke me out and I have quite a bit of the argan oil on hand as well. I’ll have to pass as so many others are as well. I’ll check out the ODOs as you suggested though. Thanks for the reminder!

    1. I agree, the Face Butter and the Milk both made me break out, I wanted to love them, but I think my skin is much too oily for her products. I also feel like the Face Butter and the Milk in one set are a bit redundant?

    2. I guess I am the only one who waits for these.. I hate the mascara.. But, I love the milk and the oil. I will not purchase them separately.because of the $$$. I have not tried the cream though. It will be interesting to try and maybe try a primer with mascara this time to see if that helps. I preordered it.. unscented..I am not sure of why the scented ones for a face cream..Kind of odd? Maybe it is just me..

    3. Nicole, she recommends using the milk first then adding the face butter over it, plus the argan oil on top of that, seems a bit much unless you have really dry skin. I use the milk then butter in the winter, but I have dry skin.

TD Q, I find drugstore mascara better than most expensive brands. Yeah, maybe a primer, I always forget that I have some to use. I try to have the least amount of steps and products. I enjoy my vanilla scented face butter, you only smell it for a few seconds, it doesn't last. We love her TSVs, just sick of the repeats. This lastest one was almost a complete repeat and I have all 4 products, can't justify buying more. We want new and exclusive products like the other beauty brands do for the TSV.

  31. Yes...the Josie TSVs and One Day Onlys are the BEST right before Christmas. Great for gifts and stocking up.
Last year she had the Anniversary Collection, hand kits, face butter kits...my wallet took a whoopin.' In the best possible way!!! :)

    1. Her TSV has to sell out for Q to offer ODO. It didn't because most customers have those TSV products at home since it was so similar to a recent TSV and A/D. Maybe she will get the message now that we want new products and exclusives like the other brands offer. Yes, her best deals are when she's on air for her last TSV of the year. But you have to check online multiple times since they are not all posted at once.

    2. I heard the host Kersten say midday around 1 that 25,000 had been ordered, which seems extremely low for Josie's TSVs. I hope you're right, Wendy, and she gets the hint.

    3. Yep, I think it's normally around 100K. We shall see what she has in store for the holidays.

    1. Thanks so much Amy, that's one I wasn't able to find. Are you buying it? If so, which design? I like the harvest, eggs and Valentine set the most. So many pieces though, need lots of storage space. I imagine it's very heavy and expensive to ship.

      Delete
    2. Yes I'm planning on getting the Harvest design. I wish the Boofetti one had a pumpkin face design instead of the cobwebs, but the Egghunt is so cute too! They are a lot of pieces I would have to find room to store them all LOL.

    3. I agree, not a fan of the cobwebs! In the new video she shows gifting ideas, posted above, that would cut down on the number of pieces to have to find storage for. The little ones would make cute gifts. Let us know what you think when it arrives.

    4. I love that set, it's really cute and looks so functional. I love the "sqoval" shape!

    5. I had to laugh when she said "sqoval"! It is a cute set wish they weren't made in China.

  37. Denim and co TSV? No more Susan Graver?

  38. Based on Jayne's commercials, Denim&Co TSV will be jeans. Didn't they have that not that long ago? As for me, I'm only buying Laurie Felt jeans now - the best technology and really not that expensive comparing to QVC house brands! -Kristina
