Bath & Body Works 3rd Fall Haul

Happy Thanksgiving

Ceramic turkey figural that holds a 14.5 oz 3 wick candle

Black nickel candle sleeves that hold 4 oz & 14.5 oz candles

I finally found a ceramic Slatkin figural, a turkey! He's so cute! Normally there are many figural candles and candle holders, but the last couple of years there have been few.  I found it difficult to find since I was searching for "figural" online and they changed the names this year to "luminary".  I didn't see these in the stores, did you? I also purchased their upgraded candle sleeves.  These are nice thick metal sleeves instead of the typical thin ones that look cheap to me.  I prefer to hide the candles in ceramic or metal holders.  The labels are ok, but I just find my coffee table looks less messy if they are in decorative holders instead.  The theme in my house is nature such as leaves and fall colors, so I really stock up when the fall season comes around.   When I saw the leaves on these candle holders, I had to have them.

As always I searched retailmenot.com for coupons and went through Mr. Rebates before placing my online order. Ebates is offering $10 back, if you spend $50 by December 15th!  I prefer Mr. Rebates since they offer monthly checks, but I will be using Ebates for the extra $10.  For this order I used a $10 off coupon with free shipping. The idea of searching store to store for these items wasn't worth my time or energy, so I shop mostly online.

Nail Polish from the Cinderella collection called A Brush With Fate by Sephora:  So Totally Enchanted, I Blue My Curfew, Step Off Sister!

This is my second try at the drag marble design using a dotting tool for the marble design.  I started with the silver color So Totally Enchanted and brushed on two heavy coats.  Then I quickly applied three dots of the blue color I Blue My Curfew.  Lastly, I applied three dots of the blue glitter Step Off Sister and used my dotting tool to drag the polish together in three curvy lines.  To read detailed instructions on how to do this manicure and to see my previous creation click here.

Cirque du Soleil Worlds Away China Glaze Nail Polish

Cirque du Soleil Collection by China Glaze

Nail Polish Bottles of:  It's a Trap-eze!, Whirled Away & Get Carried Away

Swatches of:  It's a Trap-eze!,  Get Carried Away & Whirled Away featuring two coats

This is a really exciting collection of polish called Cirque du Soleil by China Glaze.  Above are three of the twelve polishes in the collection.  I was tempted to also buy the green & blue glitter ones, but I decided I had bought enough polish lately! It will be in stores that carry this brand the first week of December or you can purchase it online now from Head2Toe.  It features colors used in the 3D movie called Cirque du Soleil Worlds Away that will be coming out December 21st.  Watch the trailer here:

I'm really anxious to try these on my nails this week and can't decide which one to try first!  I will either try Trap-eze first or Whirled Away.  Here's a description of each polish:

Trap-eze! - two sizes of white, fuchsia, yellow, turquoise, orange, & green glitter in a white base.  Extremely pretty.  If you want to use one coat apply over a white polish.  For two coats use just a base coat prior to application.  This is extremely pretty and it's magical fantastical!  This one easily goes to the top of my favorite polish list.

Get Carried Away - a black base with black round and bar shaped glitter with large burgundy and silver hexagon shaped glitter.

Whirled Away - a clear base with large black hexagon and bar shaped glitter along with white hexagon matte glitter.  You could use one or two coats of this depending on your preference.  The white glitter has to be fished out of the bottle.  This should be applied over a bright polish.  I will be using China Glaze's For Audrey which is a Tiffany box blue color.

Here's what the store display looks like:

So there you have it, my latest nail polish temptation!  How many will you purchase?  Share this collection with friends on Twitter & Facebook:

Guerlain Meteorites Brush & Case

Benefit Cosmetics Upgrade to Gorgeous - items out of their boxes

Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer in Fair

I look forward to the November VIB (very important beauty) 20% off sale every year and make my purchases online only.  I add things to my shopping list all year long in preparation for the sale.  In fact, the Guerlain power and brush have been on my list for two years and I finally bought it.  Here's information about the products I purchased:

Sephora Favorites Fragrance Sampler - I like to purchase this every year and usually do.  It's great to sample lots of popular fragrances and then select one of them to redeem the certificate for a full sized bottle. The first year I went to redeem the sales clerk and manager made a big deal over redeeming it since they didn't have the smallest size in stock.  After much ado they finally decided to give me the next size up at no additional cost.  The following year,  yet again they didn't have the small size in stock and offered the next size up, if I paid the difference in price which was $15.  Hopefully this year redeeming it will go smoothly.  I really wish I could redeem it online instead of at the store to avoid the hassle.  It's a great idea, but they really need to stock the smaller sizes!  This year's certificate says "if product is not available at the time of redemption, you will be able to select a product of equal or lesser value".  Whatever that means?!  It says it can be redeemed for the following:
  1. Betsey Johnson Too Too Pretty 1 fl oz eau de parfum
  2. Coach Poppy 1 fl oz spray
  3. DKNY Be Delicious 1 fl oz spray
  4. Givenchy Very Irresistible Givenchy 1 fl oz eau de toilette
  5. Gucci Guilty Intense 1 fl oz eau de parfum
  6. Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire 1 fl oz eau de parfum
  7. Hana Mori Butterfly 1.7 fl oz eau de toilette
  8. Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy La Fleur 2.5 fl oz eau de toilette
  9. Marc Jacobs Dot 1 fl oz au de parfum
  10. Narcisco Rodriguez for Her 1 fl oz eau de toilette spray
  11. Prada Candy 1 fl oz eau de parfum spray
  12. Versage Bright Crystal 1 fl oz eau de toilette spray
Guerlain Meteorites Powder for the Face & Brush  - I've wanted to purchase this for years and finally did! The powder goes on with a  slight pink tint with a few pieces of pearl glitter.  The brush is a bit rough, but after you apply it your skin is really smooth comparable to a moisturizer or a gel primer.  It also has a very nice perfume type scent.  The brush comes with a black case with a magnetic closure.

Benefit Cosmetics Upgrade to Gorgeous -  this set costs a little more than High Beam costs alone, so it's silly to purchase High Beam by itself.  I wanted to try that product since lots of people rave about it.  It's bottle and brush are just like nail polish, a little weird!  It's quite pretty on, but it's easy to apply too much.  The Sugarbomb blush is pretty too, I was afraid it would be too dark for my fair skin but it's not.  I've sampled the perfume & PORE fessional before and I like them.  I would't purchase the perfume, but I would purchase the PORE fessional since it really does help reduce the appearance of your pores. I wish it wasn't temporary.  Anyone know of a product that has permanent results?  Haven't tried the mascara yet.  Hopefully there is some product in there, lately I've noticed mascara samples are usually dried out and really don't give you an idea whether or not you like them.

Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer in Fair - I haven't tried this yet, but I will soon and update this post with my thoughts.  I've seen this product reviewed on blogs and YouTube and thought I'd give it a try.  Seems like it's expensive, it's such a small tube.  What's your favorite concealer?

So there you have it, my 3rd Sephora haul this fall.  I hear they may give us another coupon for $20-25 off a $50 order in December.  What will I order, any suggestions?  I like to prepare in advance since many things are sold out, if you take your time deciding!  Don't forget to visit retailmenot.com for coupons and Mr. Rebates for cash back prior to making your online purchases!

No Place Like Home - Wet n Wild Manicure

Wet n Wild's No Place Like Home by Fergie

In sunlight

Notice holographic glitter in sunlight

Photo taken at night

This is a nail polish from Wet n Wild's Fergie Collection called No Place Like Home.  It has a red base with red glitter and holographic glitter.  It took four coats for full coverage.  The brush is really wide and seems strange at first, but it makes it easier to apply the polish in the the fewest amount of strokes.  Glitter polish can't be applied with too many strokes of the brush or it will start to remove polish instead of applying polish.  This polish is so amazing in low light from sunset to nighttime with a little bit of light.  The glitter effect is incredible and looks just like Dorothy's red shoes in the Wizard of Oz movie!  I only paid $2.09 for this polish from drugstore.com since I had a 40% off coupon from retailmenot.com and I'm quite impressed by it.  Well actually I paid even less than that with cash back from Mr. Rebates.  You can see my haul of these Fergie nail polishes here.

Thanks for visiting!  Feel free to stay awhile and check out some of my other posts or my Blog Sale which includes some nail polish & many cosmetics for sale way below cost.

L'Occitane QVC TSV - November 20th 2012

L'Occitane Best Sellers 6 Piece Collection

Outside of box, box can be reused since it's very pretty & sturdy

Opening box, introduction card

Opening box, catalog

Inside box, all 6 items included

Two Shea Butter Milk Soaps, Vanilla Flower Shea Butter Hand Cream, Travel Size Hand Cream, Lavender Shower Gel & Shea Butter Body Cream

Not included: Magic Key Tube Press.  Highly recommend purchasing to use with the hand cream to get out every last bit!  Available at Nordstrom.com, $5 with free shipping.

Using Magic Key Tube Press on the end of the hand cream, just turn the key as you use the cream.

Close up of the 20% Shea Butter Vanilla Flower Hand Cream, my favorite hand cream

This is the Today's Special Value (TSV) from QVC that will be sold on November 20th.  The item number then will be A226262 or for auto delivery item number A230709.  To preorder now, use item number A230667 or for two auto delivery shipments ninety days apart use item number A231664.  This set includes: Almond or Lavender Shower Gel, Shea Butter Vanilla Flower Hand Cream, travel size hand cream, Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream and two Shea Butter Milk Soaps.  The cost is $64.96 or 3 easy payments of $21.65 plus $7.72 shipping and handling. The hand cream costs $28 retail & the body cream $42 retail, so those two items pay for this 6 piece set, making the rest of the 4 items free.  This is a really good value.  These are very high quality beauty products from France with Shea Butter and Shea Butter is an expensive ingredient.

I purchased a similar set last year from QVC and loved it.  This year the hand cream is a Vanilla Flower scent which smells a bit sour to me, I prefer the regular scent.  The scent doesn't last very long, so it really doesn't matter much.  The hand cream is like gold to me since it makes my hands so soft.  If you want to ration it since it's expensive, use it only at bedtime.  It lasts several months, so if you look at your monthly cost, it's not so bad.  Hubby is using the Shea Butter Milk soap with his shaving brush for shaving, it's very moisturizing.  Hubby is also using the body cream, he prefers a thick cream and I just don't have patience for it, I prefer body lotion. The rest of the products are all mine, mine I tell ya, mine!  LOL

So there you have it, one of the TSV's from QVC this holiday season.  You may check out the list of other TSV's here.  Which TSV's will you be purchasing in November & December?

Thanks for visiting!  Feel free to stay awhile and check out some of my other posts or my Blog Sale which includes many QVC cosmetics for sale way below cost.

Included in this box:  3 one step polish remover pads (free samples), Pink Grapefruit Body Frosting Moisturizer & nail polishes in the colors Brit & Minka

Close Up of the Matte Suede Finish Nail Polishes - Brit & Minka

This is from a monthly subscription service from Julep called Julep Maven.  It's $19.99 per month, but you also receive credits each month you remain a member and I used those credits for a free Matte top coat.  It was shipped separately and I forgot to take a photo of it.  It's a top coat that you apply to any shiny polish to make it have a matte appearance.  There are many artistic ways to use that top coat such as adding it to the entire nail then adding a polish to the tips that is shiny.  I have yet to try these polishes since I have so many to try this time of year.  Why oh why do they come out with the best polishes only during the holidays!  As soon as I try this one out, I will post my manicure, so stay tuned!  Subscribe to my blog or follow me on twitter, so you don't miss out on my future posts.  If you love nail polish you should really give this monthly subscription a try!  Each item in this box landed up only costing me $5 each, which is a really good value.  You can find these polishes on Sephora.com or QVC.com for $14 each! To learn more about this subscription service read my previous posts that explain it:

To subscribe to Julep Maven use coupon code "COLOR2012" to receive your first month's box for only one cent! Click on button below to join now:

Bath & Body Works 2nd Fall Haul

B&BW Fall Haul

Retro collection - Vanilla Bean Noel, Merry Cookie, Toffee Crunch, Cinnamon Frosting, Peppermint Mocha, Winter Candy Apple, & Slatkin - Evergreen, Holiday & Sparkling Icicles

Wallflower 2-pack refills - Gingerbread, Winter & Twisted Peppermint, plus Sweet on Paris Shower Gel

Yep, two Bath & Body Works hauls in the fall!  How can I resist the 2 candles for $20 sale for 50% off!  I rarely shop this store between January & August.  As soon as the fall & winter candles are available for sale at a discount, my hauls begin.  I find this store is only exciting in the fall & winter and prefer those scents over any of the spring & summer ones.  So yeah, it may seem like I'm buying a lot, but I'm stocking up since I only really get excited by their fall & winter collections.  I really wish they would sell some of these scents year round and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way.  I checked out their nostalgic scented candles in the store when they weren't on sale and determined which ones I would purchase online as soon as they went on sale.  The retro collection is really cute and on the lids there is a recipe!  They are really yummy scents and I prefer candles that smell like food rather than flowers or perfume.  You can't go wrong with any of the scents in the nostalgic collection.  Just type in "nostalgic" in the search box to see them all.  Now they also have the gingerbread one which wasn't in stock during the sale, that one is heavenly.  Evergreen is a lovely Christmas tree type of scent. Holiday smells retro to me also.  It smells just like a tall red cinnamon candle from the 70's!  If you were around then, you'll recognize that scent immediately, love it!  Sparkling icicles is hard to describe, not my usual choice, but I fancied it.  Anything with bergamot I tend to gravitate to.  Even though it's not a food scent, I like it as a bit of a change.

If you like Wallflowers, you really need to consider the 2-packs, which are only available online.  They are the best value.  I purchased them on sale, so each one was around $6, which makes each refill around $3.  That's a good value, since those cheap ones in the grocery store are priced around $3 and they simply don't smell half as good as the B&BW ones.  I also picked up another Sweet on Paris shower gel since it was on sale, well in fact I had a coupon that gave it to me free.  Speaking of coupons, make sure you visit retailmenot.com or subscribe to their emails to get coupons.  Also, visit Mr. Rebates prior to your online purchase for cash back.  I'm sad that there are no figural candles this holiday season, guess it's because of the recession and customers are buying less.

OPI's Skyfall + 18K Gold Top Coat Manicure

Sephora by OPI 18K Top Coat & OPI Skyfall Live & Let Die

As a fan of all the 007 movies, I had to purchase this line of nail polishes by OPI.  This line is so magical fantastical that you are arguing with yourself when deciding which Skyfall OPI polishes to come home with. As you can see in a previous post (link below), I kept my spending in control as I could have easily have come home with every single polish in this collection!  Mind you, normally this is not such a dilemma.  I have presented to you above one of the polishes in the collection, a dark green polish with fine gold glitter (two coats) with one coat of OPI 18K top coat on top.  So you tell me, what do you think?  It definitely looks better in the sunlight as you can compare above.  It looks so yellow in normal indoor light.  The dark green polish looks just like black polish in regular household light.  It also needs some sunlight to show off the fine gold glitter.  I was surprised to read that silver was one of the the ingredients in the 18K gold polish!  Perhaps it's silver with gold overlay?

My favorite polishes are from the Sephora by OPI collection!  What are your favorite brands?  This purchase is from hauls that are featured here:

Sephora Fall Haul + VIB 20% Off Coupon to Share

Sephora 2nd Fall Haul

Free samples on the top row followed by Sephora by OPI It's Real 18K Gold Top Coat, 4 bottles of Sephora's Dissolvant Express, and Tarte Clean Slate Deluxe Primer Trio

It's Real 18K Gold Top Coat

Close Up of Sephora by OPI It's Real 18K Top Coat

This is my latest haul from Sephora, just a mini one since I heard that the 18K Top Coat was on sale  for half it's original price! I have wanted it since I heard about it, but not at the original price!  I painted my nails with it today and will post photos tomorrow.  I'm waiting for the sun to take photos of it in the sunlight, since that's the most flattering light for this polish.  I also noticed that their wonderful nail polish remover was on sale, so I snagged several of them.  If you love glitter nail polish, you must try their nail polish removers!  I had a coupon for free shipping for orders over $25, so I found another item to ensure my total was over $25.  I like the Tarte primer for eyes, it holds the eye shadow very well.  I'm not a fan of the primer for the face.  It has the consistency of a moisturizer rather than your typical primer that is a gel and makes your skin's surface really smooth and dries quickly.

As a VIB (Very Important Beauty Insider), I received my yearly November coupon for 20% off my total order. This year they are allowing us to share one coupon with a friend.  Whoever see and uses it first gets 20% off their entire order!  Here's the unique coupon code:  "VPE7CY6".  To be used November 8th-12th.  Kindly, leave a comment below after you use it so that others know it has been already used.  It's that exciting time of year to decide what to order for 20% off!  If you are a VIB and didn't receive your coupon in the mail, the code is "CELEBRATE".  What items are you ordering?

Next time you shop at Sephora.com, be sure to visit retailmenot.com first for coupons followed by Mr. Rebates for cash back!
