There's a franchise called Gigi's Cupcakes that I found out about recently since one just opened in our area. I was dying to try out these fancy cupcakes to see if they tasted as good as they look. So we went and hubby chose the Chocolate Banana Bread one and I chose the White Chocolate Raspberry Frappe. We also shared a bite with each other. We agreed the banana one was better than the raspberry one. Next time I will definitely chose a chocolate frosted one. The banana one didn't have cake, but instead banana bread, which is unique. Never thought chocolate frosting on top of banana bread would be good, in fact it was so delicious. They have tons of flavors and they change seasonally. The menu is different each day of the week and some flavors sell out quickly, so you can order by phone to ensure that you don't miss out on your favorite flavor. We took ours home to enjoy, but they do have tables at the store. Each cupcake costs $3.50.  Click here, to find a location near you.  If you have tried out these cupcakes, I'd love to hear which ones you love the most, so leave a comment please.  Thanks for reading.

I have several more restaurant reviews in the works, so be sure to stop by again soon. Check out my Restaurant Reviews Pinterest Board which has restaurants in the Triangle, Piedmont Triad and Charlotte.

  2. I didn't particulary care for them. It was WAYYYYYYYY too much icing for that little piece of cake. I actually felt sick by the time I got to the cupcake. Maybe next time, I'll scrape off most of the icing and that will make a difference....but doing that makes the price tag really seem like alot for just a cupcake. If you really like sweet, sweet, sweet, then these cupcakes are for you.

    1. Yeah, I cut mine into four pieces and shared with hubby. It's a nice treat occasionally.
